235i vs 135i vs 435d gc vs 640d gc vs m3

Hi guys
First post, as I’m looking at the 235i second hand as a number 2 car, daily drive but interested in views of the 2 and 4 series options above.
I have a 5 series which drives well and build quality great, but isn’t the cheapest to run and is very boring.

I hear build quality of the 1 series is poor in particular the exterior finish. I’ve driven a 135i albeit very briefly. Was but too small for me, I’m 6-2. I prefer to be sat a bit lower or in a bigger car, but like the numbers this produces. Interior seemed ok.

2 series might be better? Not driven one. Interior looks ok also. Not sure on the small looking wheels, but guess that could be sorted with spacers?
How does this compare to the 1 series, build quality and drive? I’ve driven an m2 briefly and was mightily impressed.

4 series gc - I like the look and size of these and whilst not as practical as my f11 I gut be better that the 2 above as just as quick, but better ride, quality etc? Anyone gone from this to a 1 or 2 or the other way? I’ve dricen an m4 hard round a track and was immense car but still quite soft. Clearly not so on a road. Would this be similar ride?

Solar thoughts to the 640, but maybe a bit too big to have fun in...

How do the m135 and 235 compare to the 4, 5, 6, m3, m2?

It depends how you feel about size and weight as I find this the biggest difference driving the various options - I have an E82 135i and found the E92 a bit big and soft, the F82 is even bigger and softer. Id advise driving a 2 and a 4 back to back, if you feel the 4 is a bit big the 6 isnt going to be for you :)

M2 is similarly smaller and more wieldy than M3, I kno a few M aficionados who dont like the latest M3/M4 at all, one is claiming its becoming like a Mustang - all straight lines and power.

Do you want a small agile car or a big motorway car ? If you want the former a 2 series is excellent if you want the latter a 4 or 6 series might suit. personally I hate how big modern cars are and as such wouldn't want a 4 let alone a 6 which are too wide and unwieldy for many UK roads in my experience.
