Mud Flaps?

Post by Diccon » Sun Dec 17, 2017 1:08 pm

The rear of my vehicle gets pretty mucky, not surprising considering the shape. Has any one fitted mud flaps and were they effective in reducing this?

I fitted front and rear mud flaps to my AT. Should help a bit to reduce muck on the tailgate but the way I use my car (mostly dry roads) means I am not sure. The front flaps certainly protect the sills.

Bought flaps from BMW dealer - fitting instructions are essential but are NOT supplied! I persuaded the parts person to print out the BMW workshop instructions.

Rear flaps easy to fit; front flaps simply did not fit. Needed trimming with Stanley knife and more.

Hope this helps

Thanks for that, very useful. I'll give it a try after Christmas.
