Not sure if it applies now, but, years ago, chrome wheels were a no no on the basis the chrome plate was quite strong and could potentially mask any cracks in the wheel.

Not my idea of good looks but don't understand why you feel the need to ask for others opinions. Surely, it's what you like that counts.

Thanks for your views :)
my decision on what wheels I chose will ultimately be mine , by giving people an option to give an opinion can be pretty helpful , especially as some of the wheels I'm looking at Iv never seen them on a 1er before , I'm always up for listening to people's views who may have more knowledge on fitment / size / offset etc than I do .

I wonder how many minutes that diamond-cut finish will last before it turns to white-worm?

15 / 20 mins I'd guess
That's the risk with the reps, especially the diamond finished ones . White worm may become fashionable though :o

Some other options

Deano,

Has to be the first ones in this one for me.

They look the Shizzle.... 19" and maybe just lower the car slightly to get that hugged look especially with your front splitter etc... Will look sweet.

Just going to have to rethink my M140 looks as cant have car twins can we.. haha ;)

I thought most members here have always been weary of aftermarket wheels by unknown makes due to the extra un-sprung weight and durability issues?

Those M2 replicas look spot on though - I'd happily lay down £860 if I had some reassurance on the brand.

+1
Despite the standard being genuine, they are pretty poor quality

I had genuine Jaguar diamond cut alloys on my XFR, white worm arrived within a month of me having it (they were refurbished when I bought it). I'll never have diamond cut again and am so happy both the M140i and shadow editions are not diamond cut! They look cool, but I'll let others worry about maintenance..
