Oh OK, you live in Bristol then? Whereabouts?
No I live in Northampton. Just happened to be down in Bath this weekend so it's worked out quite nicely in terms of picking the car up. Just doing the paperwork stuff now...

Well this is embarrassing... just stopped for a pit stop and I've averaged 38mpg so far!

On a serious note these engines really are amazing aren't they.

Once I get home I'll have a play about with it. There's something in the armrest which is a mystery to me!

Hey congrats + well done :spotman:

Mine was also reading some quite silly high mpg on the way home - these cars seem to do that on the drive home its just to put the final icing on the cake for you - don't worry its far from accurate though - I don't even look at it now so couldn't say what it averages best not to get hung up on it

You mean you can't get into the armrest - is it jammed? Yes I too for curiosity's sake would need to know what was in there.

You need to start gettingp acquainted with 5000rpm :D

I think the armrest had some sort of phone cradle if that's what you mean... Never used it myself.

Glad your emitting it, it really is s great car and that engine loves to sing. :spotman:

Paddy - as Jiggaman has alluded to it is some sort of phone connection by the looks of it. Not sure for what though, looks a bit older-school than 2007.

So I detoured through Milton Keynes earlier to avoid the GP traffic. Suffice to say it did not maintain fuel economy!

Just got back home from having picked up my bike and I followed the missus home - car just looks so 'right'. The angel eye headlights, the way the alloys fill the arches nicely, the 'is it black?' colour, etc. From a driving perspective I am over the moon; feels so planted and balanced. Really pleased with it.

Not got anything major planned for it changes-wise. I've got some Gliptone to bring the leather interior back to its best (hopefully) and there is a scuff on the rear wheel arch which 5 minutes of T-Cutting didn't sort. Will see what I can do with that. Otherwise I wouldn't mind the carbon fibre trim in place of the aluminum and I might go back to standard aeriel depending on how the reception is on my commute.

How do I change title of thread?!

Jiggaman - front seats stuck in forward position. The lever to set them back doesn't seem to be doing anything. Is there a knack to it that I'm not aware of?!

Cheers!

Mine does this occasionally. Just pull the lever and give it a firm push.

As in you've tilted it forward to get someone in the back?

Just give them a firm pull backwards they should 'unclick'

Is it sorted? Had you tilted then forwards? I'm struggling to understand what the problem is.

Sorry yeah it's when I've tilted the seat forward to get access to rear seats. They won't go back into place. So it's the manual element rather than electrics/motor. I will give it a good shove when I am back home tonight.

Ah OK, yes just pull them back, no need to use the little handle on the shoulder of the seat.

They unclick/unlock with a little force.
