I think those are three of the wires shown bottom left (pink, green and pink/black)
- speed pulse (if you HU has a speed registering capability, or you have a timing unit (for measuring perfomamce etc). Also disables certain features if you're moving (legal requirement).
- parking brake (no idea why that might be used)
- phone mute (useful if you have handsfree)

Not sure why the reverse isnt shown (useful for HUs that can connect to a rear view camera.

I tapped mine into the cigarette lighter circuit. Cant remember which fuse off the top of my head, but thats the easiest way, with an add-a-fuse.

Speed pulse is to do with Satnav.
Parking Brake is to do with DVD, so you can watch videos on the move (illegal). so you have to connect it to the handbrake (or similar) to allow the unit to play DVD's when the car is parked.

Thanks for the update; never had to use them, so never paid attention, but every day is a school day, so filed that away for future reference :)

Do you think it would be easier to just run the yellow wire to the battery as I've seen people struggle to find a fuse that works for them, as they say after 20 mins their radio settings reset.

Also I've removed the shock absorber and pressed the 2 tabs to drop the glovebox down but is there anything else I can do to access the fuse board more easily?

If in doubt or you're struggling, take your car to a reputable audio shop and get them to find the relevant place on the fusebox, to fit a breakout fuse.
