This one looks the closest to me, but you were there in person!

I tend to agree - considering those Blue calipers are available on any BMW so not necessarily Estoril.

Personally I think it's close enough surely? For those very few times when your calipers are actually clean - and you happen to be in a position to place an un-repainted caliper right next to yours.

Or are you touching up a chip?

No it's just to match the fronts to my stock rear calipers.

They are getting sent off for a rebuild & to have the casting marks smoothed out, followed by paint.

I think either Estoril or Monte Carlo would be OK given there will be some distance between front & rear, and that they will be behind a set of wheels too.

The guy doing the work thinks Estoril, so going to try that.

These guys told me it was Interlagos Blue, and they also don't rebuild the caliper, they just mask the parts off and spray them. They get very good feedback about their work though.

The other place I am going with actually strip the calipers, paint and rebuild with new parts etc.

I asked a guy who works at the Brembo factory, and he says that Brembo don't paint them, and it is done by another contractor. They said that it is only know as 'M Sport Light Blue'

sorry to revive this thread back from the almost dead!

Did anyone establish whether the paint code was B45 Estoril or B05 Monte Carlo?

Just realised i've got a pretty big chip on on of the calipers - I've ordered paint before from Quik Touch and their Ferric Grey for the alloys seems to be pretty good.

Does anyone put clear-coat on over the touched up areas?

B05 worked well for me.
Thanks Joe - Will look at getting a touch up stick

I did call BMW today - (3 dealers and their main customer services team) and asked them and nobody knew what the colour was - they only body colours and not calipers as they are powder coated. Going to keep trying

Just been searching as need to touch up my m135 calipers and found this thread, any further forward on colour match ?....I tried my lemans blue touchup pen on small chip and its close but too dark, not bad but would prefer closer match, my local halfrauds only have Montego blue metallic which looks a little ligher shade than my LMB but is Estoril blue going to be closer ?

In the middle of an ongoing saga with BMW customer service. Lady i'm speaking to has been in touch with product marketing and the initial response was to replace the caliper (not going to happen). She's apparently been looking at other options and thats as far as we seem to be getting. Twice weekly calls since my last comment - and of late, nobody seems to want to take my call, or call me back! Bit of a PITA!

Ive touched up with my lmb paint and looks ok, got some estoril blue coming so will see how that looks as well.

I would stop messing about asking bmw they wont have a clue as you'vefound, if you want perfect match just go to a good bodyshop they will soon identify and match it.
