As per the title if any members are around the Glasgow area who do you trust/use for service work? I've got 900 miles to go before the RIS is due so trying to plan ahead
Although BMW dealers aren't great, I wouldn't take such a fresh car anywhere else. It's a box ticking exercise and everyone looks out for the run in service as being vital.
@TerryCTR, where did you get your service in the end? I am booked for DP in Hamilton soon, was the best offer I found. That said, they initially insisted on me coming by to read the service requirements from the key - just to get a price. Told them to get sorted and they produced a cost a couple of minutes later. HF quoted £40 more.
I'm still only on c.500 miles mate. I'm debating Hamilton over going up to fife for the RIS if I go for the MPE and have it fitted at the same time. Will be good to see what you think of Hamilton
Car back from service today. Can't fault the service, the service advisor was a real petrol head. She even asked if I wanted the car washed or not which was a nice touch. Got a 1 series loaner which was nice to compare (Spoiler, does not compare).
The car seems much louder with considerably more crackling since I picked it up, but this might just be my imagination.
Dropped it off in the morning and collected in the evening. They sent a video of a chap looking at the tyres as well and did a campaign update of the idrive, see separate thread.
Re MPE I really could and would not want the car any louder, at start up it's insane - well that's my opinion.
Yeah I saw the other thread sounds like they are pretty decent. It is loud but inside the car I find myself with the window down to hear the noise better when opening it up a bit. The MPE certainly helps that and I like the carbon tips
