Hi all,

I currently have a Vgate iCar 2 WiFi dongle for my car.
Its quite slow at reading codes, is there a faster / better alternative (for bimmercode)?

I see Bluetooth is now recommended.
Is the UniCarScan UCSI-2000 worth the £90ish?

TIA

Re: M140 Cruise Control & Electric Folding Mirrors

I can retrofit Cruise for £275 inc parts and fitting (parts are brand new genuine BMW) Mirrors I can also do - price will depend on if you want new or used parts. coding can be done remotely or in person. Thanks for coming back, how about parking sensors? I don't offer that as a service, it's too t...

Re: Spotify on connected drive

After seeing online entertainment is now £180 a year I decided to pass and try Spotify with a free trial. I never had problems getting it to connect but would have constant issues with playlists being blank, not being able to select the menu tab and also being unable to see an overview of the playl...

Re: Coding help for a newbie

I can retrofit all the items you are after, however the list you have there will likely come to around £4.2k to retrofit properly. Some easy ones on the list are the wireless charging & cruise control. The other items require a lot of parts and time/labour. I carry in stock full EVO media packs for ...

One thing this update does add is Tuner Protection, from what I have read the latest iStep blocks OBD mapping.

Re: Spotify on connected drive

Android Auto is apparently going to be supported in later versions of iDrive 7 - will believe that when I see it. Spotify on Android was always fairly broken but the latest update put a nail in the coffin for the time being. I had read that the issue was with Spotify themselves and not the BMW Conne...

Re: Service and software update

Sounds like they've bricked a module. Did it to me last year and becuase I requested a software update for the DME, I ended up footing the £1200 bill. I suspect warranty will cover you. I had a chat with the tech who mentioned the software update is split into modules. Everything updated but crashe...
