Re: What Did You Do To Your 1 Series Today?

I am thinking of getting this silver sharkfin cover and trim it to fit over my new antenna. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Silver-Car-Roof-Radio-Antenna-FM-Signal-Aerial-Receiver-Cover-SharkFin-Universal/112900016507?epid=10017314979&hash=item1a495d897b:g:fCkAAOSw~P9avGT8 Saves me from painting and it...

Re: What Did You Do To Your 1 Series Today?

My sharkfin is painted in Tahiti Green - it's only a plastic cover so I'd hardly expect the metallic paint to affect reception. E91-84-sharkfin-cover-1.jpg The separate module under mine is only used for GPS so all bar the blue connector were removed, the car roof hole was not touched. 20140523-1103...

Re: What Did You Do To Your 1 Series Today?

Installed sharkfin antenna with DAB+, AM/FM and GPS antenna in the E87. Huge wiring job but well worth it. Just need to paint it. What type/make of sharkfin is that? BMW never produced sharkfins for the E87 or E81 hatchbacks, only the E82 coupe but that one's too curved to use here. My sharkfin (wi...

Re: E81/E82/E87/E88 Photo thread

Sharp eyes! Thanks for the feedback too...….*sheepish look*. These side badges are actually badges I found on another vehicle at the wreckers that I thought would be a nice subtle addition. They have flat backs and sit flush against the side of the vehicle, unlike the boot badges on e87's which I t...

Looks nice.
I've not seen one with a badge under the side repeaters though - is that a Japanese/New Zealand thing?

Re: Bluewater 7th April

A nice turnout for once, sorry I couldn't stay for long (puppy minding duties back home as wifey was out). Cracking photo's from Paul as usual especially considering the lighting conditions - let's get back to the top floor next time (my car didn't get wet yesterday driving there or back). Not quite...

Re: How To: Upgrade to Facelift Rear Lights

Well, mine will be on view at the Bluewater meet once I get there any late-comers (so long as they make it before we dive in for a burger) will be welcome.

M25 oh how I've missed this road [emoji2363]
M25 is fine at the moment - I was on the M1 yesterday - 23-odd miles of mind-numbing specs 50, struggled to stay awake!

It's definitely raining at the minute.
It's fairly local though, no rain here about 12 minutes east.

Re: Bluewater 7th April

If it's dry when I arrive, I'll be heading for the top level first, there's always more room to get everyone together up there..........

Re: Bluewater 7th April

Did you guys realise that the BTCC is on up the road?

No problem for me (I always pre-record stuff on advert channels) but roads may be a bit busy around the M20.

Looks like I'll be arriving near to 5 rather than 4 as wifey has decided to go out and the dogs need to be fed (and the other...).

Re: What Did You Do To Your 1 Series Today?

Update to the aero spoiler saga: got lazy and bought a rattle can from Halfords instead of getting it from a proper bodyshop because I thought only needed to touch up the knackered areas. That was a mistake. Halfrauds!!  Get the proper stuff from somewhere like this https://cartouchup...
