What manufacturer do Bmw use for the build at the factory ?
This seems to happen more frequently at the first service with the original filter.

Is this happening with just a certain make of filter or one by a specific manufacturer.
If we knew this it could just be a case of avoiding certain ones.

Failing flexi joint on the exhaust. Worse on rough roads as it flexes more ?

It’s a very helpful forum.
I’m on my fourth BMW now. Not as many as others but being an active member it’s surprising what you learn about these cars.

Just make sure any coding is fully reversible if the car is under warranty and has to go back to the dealers for any work.
