Re: Cheap fun car for the weekend - suggestions please!

The lack of torque in an S2K would drive you somewhat mental coming from a 135i IMO. Great cars if you drive a racetrack to work every day, can be a pain for anything else and are holding value very well, which is a double edged sword at the end of the day. I think this is going to be half the batt...

Re: E88 120d msport. . Price ?

Heading into winter id think £9.5-10k for a private sale with an starting advert price of £10.5

I think it may have to be a low price to sell a diesel convertible with winter approaching.

Re: PCP Voluntary Termination

There is a long thread about this on Pistonheads that might be worth a look. Interesting part i thought was that the VT rules meant that while BMW might try to enforce an excess mileage charge it wasn't actually legal. As long as the car was in a 'reasonable condition' no further payments can be de...

Re: What car should I choose... Cayman S, M135, M3

I have had a E82 123D and thought it was a great car, like you my mileage dropped after moving house so i thought id get something more interesting. Had several cars after but now have a 2008 Gen 1 Cayman S. Its a great car, there are faster straight line cars but the steering and balance is amazing...

Re: These things are getting cheaper.

While the above replies are quite funny i do think there were quite a few people expecting these to hold there value better. Whether they were deluded from the start is another matter but i see these being £35k in the not too distant future

I cant believe with all the pain the previous owner had trying to get this working you managed to sort it out so quickly. Good Job!

Re: 2009 cayman bad move or?

I currently have a rather nice (even if i do say so myself) 08 Cayman S. Its amazing. The speed which you can corner takes some getting used to, always feels flat and stable. They sound amazing, im getting 25mpg which i think is fine given the performance, fun and lack of turbo lag. The interior is ...

Welcome! I don't think there is any vetting process for the sponsors in particular but most if not all have been used many times by members. Hard to comment more without knowing who you're talking about.

Re: My First BMW, My first Problem... :(

Around town the figure seems about right but id expect more on the motorway. I was close to 50mpg in my 123d so would expect you to at least be similar if not more.

Re: Power Performance Kit 2

There are and have been lots of people running much higher power figures than the PPK gives without any additional cooling. Obviously it wont hurt but for the driving you describe I don't think its needed.
I don't know what you could get for them though, is it worth selling?
