Re: Getting a BMW LSD fitted.....should I code out the E-LSD?

With the m diff you don't get the left right lousy braking e diff effect anymore, had my m performance diff for over a year now it should've been standard.

Re: IT HAPPENED! N47 Timing chain snapped! Warranty payout

Mighty thread revival. I had been wondering about n47 chains after the whole recall/quality enhancement from a few years back. I am surprised to see it still happening in 2018. Were these vehicles never part of or never taken in as part of the Quality Enhancement? During the QE there was no age or m...

Do what I've done in the past, start posting it on the BMW uk Facebook page, I got a response rather quickly after doing that.

M140i second service kit

Hi Guys,
Would it be possible to get a price for all the components for a second service on a M140i reg LS66YSE?

And, also what is needed for the brake service (i'm assuming just fluid?)?

Many thanks,

Tim.

Re: Mlite and fuel octane rating. A definite answer from BMW

In simple terms. Under high load, low revs and high ambient temperatures the knock sensor will probably retard the ignition/enrich the mixture a bit. The threshold of this happening will vary as a function of fuel octane.

Re: One to avoid

Serious question. Can someone explain how a car in that state can be unrecorded? The insurance company must have paid out on it, right? And as such written it off? The only way I could see it being unrecorded is that the owner sold it direct to salvage at a massive loss. I’m not familiar with how i...

Re: collision warning

It's off the tmc channel, the radio stations also look it up. My van will list all current tmc messages, I'd assume idrive has the same somewhere.

Out of interest has anyone that declared an LSD to their insurance company had any change in the price of insurance?
I did, Admiral, no premium increase just the admin fee balls.

Re: Online entertainment voucher discounted

Hmm take that as a no, though itcsays you get sent a voucher which can be activated up to 3 years, however activation is by starting online in the car, so if you're already using it then I guess the existing voucher gets overwritten? Seems daft if only those who coincide with the black Friday time ...

Re: Online entertainment voucher discounted

Does anyone know if buying it now stacks it on top of an existing subscription or just wipes out existing subscriptions and starts afresh? Mine doesn't run out until early next year but I'll likely renew again so if I can buy now and it just adds 12 months to my existing subscription then its worth...
