Re: Tyres for the M140

It was mainly to get peoples opinions on what they are running and how they've found them rather than whats available if you get me. also the question of if people are just putting the michelins back on what sort of price are/have they paying for them? Tyreleader/Black circle are both quoting about...

Part numbers are in the M-Lite FAQ Sticky - think it's post 5
Mp thank you, just ordering them now, do you or does any one know if the m140’s led’s also require the same headlamp level sensor listed in the sticky that fits the m135’s xenons?

Re: New M2 Competition Review Live

Hey guys, Long time since I've ventured onto the Forum, hope you're all well and enjoy the amazing Summer! I have recently shot a first drive/review of the M2 Comp, after waiting ages for a UK press car, one of TRL's customers insisted that I pick up his brand new car and shoot a video on it! Obvio...

Re: Best Mods to Improve General Handling

FWIW, my advice would be to get castor adjusted downawards by about a deg - so as you are running less than 1 deg over stock or buy/install F8X TS. All noted, BP. Although I am actually really liking the handling characteristics right now, so I'm going to continue running it as is for the time bein...

Re: Best Mods to Improve General Handling

I assumed SP LCA bush with standard F2x TS would be even more castor, but your specs with just LCA indicate that it shouldn't net that big an increase in castor. Correct - adding just F8X took OEM castor angle from low 7 deg to high 7 -> 8 deg plus F8X LCA only, my car's front height was lower by ~...

Re: Best Mods to Improve General Handling

Jah, IIRC std Mx40i castor is circa 7.25-7.5 deg. Here's my car alignment with H&R sport springs and M4 LCA only ie castor is circa 8deg https://www.babybmw.net/forum/images/ext/7b8dd1b02b3387778d599da5e38724a2 Here's another alignment of my car with Birds B1s springs and M4 LCA's and TS's ie castor...

Re: Sports cat & Lambda Spacer

Are the supplied lambda spacer straight or elbows ? If straight don't fit as space is tight and buy/use 90 deg elbow type - you only need 1 spacer on 2nd O2 sensor ie furthest from turbo flange - with outlet pointing towards front of the car else O2 cable won't reach if pointing towards the rear of ...

Re: Best Mods to Improve General Handling

Why castor bushes and not tension struts? £££? Tension struts from the F80 don't fit on the F2x on one end without the use of spacers. I didn't want to deal with that. Although SuperPro are making a whole kit with the tension strut that will fit directly to the F2x, I can't wait until 2019. So the ...

Re: Interesting tussle with a V8 M3

Thing that gets me here is M2 costs how much? and yet an M140i will keep up with one even beat one in some viddys!! Granted the M2 is better handling machine but surely the bill for a well sorted suspension etc 140i still comes in way cheaper than an M2 for the same thrill... I think you can throw ...

Re: Front camber adjustable bush PFF5-1902G

So he made sure the M4 LCA only is not the right choice? Can you name the disadvantages of a M4 LCA only (without M4 TS) Setup? Thanks M4 LCA only is fine and there are plenty on here who run with this configuration. With LCA only, the wheel sits slightly further forward in the wheel arch, the trac...

Re: Interesting tussle with a V8 M3

The M3 V8 coupe has very similar performance figures. As said the extra weight of the convertible would hinder it badly. They aren't 415bhp quick. Agree ^^^^ however the sense of drama/occasion when that V8 comes on song is very special. As said already, the V8 sweet spot is much higher up in the r...

Re: Front camber adjustable bush PFF5-1902G

Nowadays, OE supplier's are offering same, albeit non BMW-branded, F8x front arm parts for much cheaper, ie making supply/fit much more comparable to supply/fit of polybushes... LCA @ ~£104/pr https://m.buycarparts.co.uk/lemforder/9664290 add-on M car radius arms TS @ £137/pr + spacers @ ~ £10 for ...
