Re: M140 B58 Wagner cooler

Hello guys, Did you know about this: https://www.stertman.se/motor/18713-bmw-m140i-b58-f20-wagner-tuning-vattenkylar-kit.html Will it give any hp gain? Or is it just better cooling for lets say track use? Question is, is it worth it? Regards //Arthur Hot off the press - CSF charge cooler rad via Ev...

Re: My thoughts on the comp

There are no rose joint changes on the M2C. Journo bullcrap. Only changes are software and the 2 strut braces. According to Joe Achilles - he has seen rose joints on his car - see comments in YT clip below - shame he didn't have his camera rolling at the time eh ?? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i...

Re: Match up 7BMW amp?

I have the amp. It's brilliant. The DSP function is superb. Makes a massive difference! It powers 160 watts rms to the subs and 65 watts rms to the other 5 speakers. You can also add a mono amp to it so you can add a boot sub. The dsp can control mono amp too. Where did you buy from ? What DSP setu...

Re: M140 B58 Wagner cooler

Yes. Food for thought. The main coolant circuit (engine) has the "heat management module" that can manipulate whether it wants to heat up, maintain or cool down the coolant temps. I'm not sure if the secondary coolant circuit for the air con and charge air cooler are able to manipulate coolant temp...

Re: M140 B58 Wagner cooler

the next question is, does the computer rely on the temp sensor next to airbox (pre charge), the T-Map (post charge) or both! :) Jah, In short yes - both sensors, with cach inputting for different reasons. This is just my opinion - so best not quote me - but I think pre-charge temp sensor you refer...

Re: M140 B58 Wagner cooler

Jah You are looking at wrong page of realoem - item no 8 is T-MAP sensor http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=1S92-EUR-10-2016-F20N-BMW-M140i&diagId=11_6651 BP Does the MAP sensor include temps? I'm fairly certain there are two temperature sensors in the air intake system. One reads air tem...

aftermarket air filters - oiled v dry

http://www.gmtruckcentral.com/articles/air-filter-study.html Heavy techy script but in essence:- - Whilst this does address if one type flows better than another, it does show filtration efficiency ie the amount of contaminants collected v amount passed thru the filter -The filtration ability was as...

Re: M140 B58 Wagner cooler

Are the intake temp sensors that the engine relies on to adjust timing pre or post charge cooler? There is a MAF and temp sensor on the pipe immediately after the intake filter (pre charge cooler) and this gets super hot from heat soak in the engine bay. If this is the only sensor the computer uses...

Re: M140 B58 Wagner cooler

I wonder if something like this could be adapted. https://fiinterchillers.com/products/ Nuggs- great find and yes as it works on BMW F8x s55 it’ll work on b58 too with their universal kits https://fiinterchillers.com/project/2016-bmw-f80-m3-interchiller/ BP That looks like Peter at Pure's car. Re: BCS midpipe with remus back box?

Interesting, I thought remus suggested twin pipes equalled greater flow...the basic design is similar to the m135i which didn’t come with the chassis braces back in the day. M135i always came with cross plate - seen in the photo below - so exhaust clearance in close proximity to this is an issue ht...
