Re: Any other watch fans on here? - part 2

Does anyone own a Christopher Ward watch? I have been looking at a Christopher Ward C60 Trident 316L Limited edition on their website for £795. Just wondering what they are like? https://media.christopherward.co.uk/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/1800x/040ec09b1e35df139433887a97daa66f/c/6/c60-4...

Re: Official BMW Update: M140i - Whine Video - It's normal :(

What sort of boot clunk? Everytime i go over a pot hole, drive off a curb or go over a harsh speed bump i get a clunk/tink metallic noise from drivers upper rear 1/4 near the boot Bmw spent 10hours and cant find it Sound familiar? Yeah, I also have the dreaded boot rattle/clunk too! Sounds very fam...

Re: Official BMW Update: M140i - Whine Video - It's normal :(

I can't believe this is still dragging on for you. I've been reading the thread since I posted a while back and really would have thought something would have been done about it by now. So sorry that this has ruined the brand for you, as someone who has had two 1 Series' and has had a completely dif...

Re: 560bhp M135i

Just watching this now and logged on to see if anyone else had posted. Amazing performance, if a little OTT for me. I'd never mod anything to this extent, but it is impressive to know how far these cars can be pushed on standard internals. I would be a little hesitant to run standard brakes too but ...

Re: M240i xDrive Review

Definitely interesting to read the comments about it being a BMW UK decision and not a technical one I think it's a no brainer to have XDrive M lites in UK, can't fathom the rationale of BMWUK Although, as a massive Alfa fan, it's good to see BMWUK making a similar c**k up as Alfa have. Alfa Romeo ...

M240i xDrive Review

M240i now available with xDrive in certain markets. Brief review of it here: https://www.topgear.com/car-reviews/bmw/2-series/m240i-xdrive-2dr-auto/first-drive Interesting to read that the BMW xDrive system is better at the whole rear-bias thing than the competitors, restores some faith about the ne...

Re: Newbie with a couple of questions and a favour!! (M140 manual)

Manual 'box, passive suspension owner over here! I love the manual, no regrets on ordering it. Some say the shift is knotchy but it feels really good to me. On collection day it felt quite rubbery, don't know how to describe it, but over time (8k miles in now) it's bedded in really well. I've never ...

Thanks. I guess it would do no harm to fit it?

Maybe I've missed it somewhere, but what made you want to get out of an M140i less than 12 months old and order a Shadow Edition? Any particular reason?

If I can get the day off work I'll definitely come out for this! Don't put me on the list just yet, but I'll know nearer the time.

Re: Any other watch fans on here? - part 2

Here is my Christopher Ward C60 Trident Pro. A long time admirer of all of these fine timepieces, I finally bought myself my first 'nice' watch. I didn't want to spend loads but I really wanted a dive style watch with an automatic movement. I also bought a Zuludiver Cordura strap at the same time bu...

Re: Official BMW Update: M140i - Whine Video - It's normal :(

Hey, I PM'd you about this a week or so ago and really hoped you'd get it sorted. I wouldn't mind you using my car as a comparison as I'm not far from Sheffield but my car is a 5 door manual, not 3 door auto... but if BMW can't pin it to a gearbox issue surely they can't refuse it as evidence? I'm s...

Re: Anyone find the gap in the steering wheel too small?

I too also have this problem, but not as bad as you describe. I just can't see the very bottom line of the digital display in the dash, where the milage is. I messed around with the steering reach etc. but in the end decided that my driving position was more important and if I needed to see anything...

Re: 1 series LCI2 update

Just my two cents on the LCI2: I can understand why those with cars on order right now might be a little peeved, thinking you were getting the very latest thing and now you're not, but if everyone went through life like that no one would ever buy anything. Everything has to be updated at some point ...
