Re: Self dipping rear view mirror not working

Can you try it for me? Night time, turn interior light on, see if it blacks right out after 5 seconds? Okay... maybe my bad, because the mirror does have a sensor window - but in the actual frame of the mirror and not in the glass as a small dot. I was getting confused with other Beemas that have t...

Re: All new Buzzing metallic rattle

Well, amazing when you get a BMW technician who knows what they are doing!... as above, I had already visited two service centers, and paid good money for nothing. Today, and Malmo BMW (SE) after 5 minutes the Service Manager knew exactly what was causing the rattle... faulty exhaust butterfly (or w...

Re: Self dipping rear view mirror not working

That is interesting...I didn't think I had auto dimming because I don't have the little sensor in the mirror (like I had on my previous 130i), but just the other day I stopped to drop off a friend in late afternoon and shade, I noticed that both my upper rear view mirror and side mirrors had darkene...

Re: All new Buzzing metallic rattle

The volume and pitch does not change with speed, so it is not engine related. It sounds like heat shield or something to do with the exhaust system, however the last two inspections they checked all heat shields, inc. around the engine with nothing found. I did have a nail in one of my tyres, which ...

All new Buzzing metallic rattle

Hi guys, I have read the other posts/threads regarding rattles and noises, with nothing similar noted before. Let start with the details - I owned an '06 130i in Australia for 3yrs, so I am very familiar with all the noises it can make, but approx 1 month after buying my current '06 130i here in Swe...

Re: Audi TT v 118d coupe

I also owned a Z3 2.0 6cyl... sweet engine and the car was always fun to drive - shame about the chassis which was the only let down.

Back to the question at hand... why has no one suggested a pre-owned 130i? Then you get the punch of the Audi without the Hairdresser appeal :P

Re: Hall of Fame: Aftermarket Wheels and/or tyres examples

Well, bit the bullet and have new wheels, as follows:

18x8 BSA AU457 (ET:40) footing Falken 452 225/40 R18 all round. So far, so good 8)

Re: BMW Performance decals

I am thinking I will do it just for fun... as I can get them done for free (know someone who does wraps, etc). If I did it I would go for a subtle black and metallic silver stripe so it may not be as obvious. Still split on the rims, but will comment on that in the black rims thread.
