Re: By Miles insurance

It's more expensive for me anyway.

£600 for 10k miles without mention of my MPE.

£570 with LV with MPE (which added £50)

Re: By Miles insurance

Surely you could just plug in the unit once a week to see how many miles you've done rather than have it plugged in all the time? That was my thinking - if they just have a maximum mileage allowance you only need to "check in" with it annually to show you haven't gone over and verify the total mile...

Re: By Miles insurance

I don't care what they say, an insurance company monitoring my driving isn't what I'd want and would avoid like the plague. The car will tell you your annual mileage, so why do they need it permanently plugged in so it can monitor each and every journey you make through the app. I just hope this do...

Re: How to prevent stop-start function in economy mode...

Interesting, I have the 2-channel blackvue and my M2 didn't moan one bit but my M4 has been moaning about battery discharge every morning - apart from this morning for some reason.

Re: By Miles insurance

I was stung by an insurance company that was "miles cheaper than everyone else" when I was 18 trying to insure an Astra GTE. Got a nice letter saying the insurance company was bogus and 'd been driving around un-insured for 6 months. I can't remember exactly but there's a register you can search to ...

Re: M2 to M2 Comp would you?

And after all this daily doggy, M2 to M2 comp would you? No I tried the comp which set me in "new car buying" mode and I bought an M4cp. Personally, I don't think BMW "improved" the M2 with the comp. In fact, considering those that moan the M2 doesn't have a proper M engine, the worse thing about t...

Re: BMW Icon adaptive LED headlights - LCI?

Rear lights are the best give away. The reverse light in a pre-LCI is square and near the top. LCI is shaped and is at the bottom.

Re: M2 to M2 Comp would you?

After driving an M2 Comp I bought an M4CP and put an MPE on it! One of the best features of the LCI M2 is the stock engine and stock exhaust. The Comp is almost silent now it has the extra filter in the exhaust. It isn't much faster either - it has a bit more low down torque. Time will tell if I mad...

Re: Retrofit heated steering wheel?

The one thing my M2 didn’t come with that I would really like is a heated steering wheel. A brand new heated wheel appeared on eBay, and without doing any research I just bought it at a great price But can I get it to fit my car? Mine is DCT, I don’t know what gearbox the other car had, does it mat...

Re: M2C Rose joint rear?

There is a perceptible difference in handling in terms of how well it softens up bumps. Not sure extra weight would be the cause - it's not as if I can tell I have a passenger or not.

Are the wheels significantly lighter?

Re: My thoughts on the comp

Just go cap this off, rather than buy a quiet S55 M2, I bought a comp pack M4 and stuck an MPE on it... Did you drive both? I’m looking at a 64 plate M4 as at £30-33k with 20k on the clock. More toys than an M2 etc I sat in a M2C at PH BMW SS today, seats v nice. Need to find out if I can add car p...
