Re: handling improvement E87 pre-LCI

I was looking in to the whiteline inserts if they would fit my car. It seems that the inserts are only for cars with an automatic gearbox. I have manual gearbox. Also on realoem the rear subframe bushings for manual transmission and automatic transmission differs. So are there any members who have ...

Re: M140i vs M2 vs M2C vs E92 M3

If you fancy getting rid of the 968 feel free to drop me a PM with some details. I let a 968 sport with v3’s pass me by a few years ago and have regretted it ever since.

PBS TRACK BRAKE PADS FOR f2x

Just spoke to the chap in the stand at Autosport this morning seeing as I’ve now converted my 130i to the f2x brake calipers and PBS will be providing pads for the f2x in about three weeks time. They’ve a good reputation in the race and track day market so could be a decent cost option for track day...

Re: Track day tyres...

So I have gone for the 8.5j 245 square set up. I be bout s single alloy from CA AUTOMOTIVES https://www.ca-int.co.uk/home.php To test fit - really helpful guys there. Jury is out on tyres but I’m thinking ad08s 245 all round - keep it simple ! Good choice on rims. If you’ve already run cup2’s then ...

Re: 130i track day at Bedford Autodrome - Saturday 27 October 2018

Anything like this happening again for 130i members anytime soon? Wouldn’t mind meeting a few fellow owners! Shame I missed the last one due to my first one getting wrot3 off! There is a 2019 track day thread somewhere on here. Find a date that suits and get along to one. But yeah, I’d like to thin...

Re: 2019 track days?

So I booked Goodwood (4/2); Silverstone gp (17/2); Brands gp (13/9) so far. All with opentrack.

Now having a look at javelin and MSV to get the quota up.

Re: 2019 track days?

I suspect it’s sold out then as it was there this morning. There is a circuit days day the following day which sold out in two working days last week so maybe some people did a double header. At £215 it was cheap; as long as it doesn’t snow [emoji85]

Re: 2019 track days?

I managed a donington evening last year and not much else. Keen to get back on the scene and currently looking at the bookatrack adverts for Spa in March with a keen eye. I'd love to do a few more days in 2019 so make sure you post on here if you're thinking about doing one. Opentrack have a March ...

Re: 130i to M135i Brake upgrade project

Quick update on these rear discs. The Mintex and Apec are virtually the same and do indeed have a 185mm handbrake disc. Well spotted Tyrant. There are some subtle differences between them if you look closely but it counts for nothing as they both weigh in at 7.5kg / disc on the scales. So it comes d...

Re: 130i to M135i Brake upgrade project

All my rear discs are here now. I’m going to unpack both sets and check them against each other following your feedback Ian. May as well keep then I they are the same sims. The Apec ones match your order which is good news. In other good news I won’t need to trim my backing plates as they are alread...

Re: 130i to M135i Brake upgrade project

That’s what I ordered. Must have got the last stock. [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Nice one, also looking at those Mintex discs you got first i think they would of worked ok, the 180mm shown on diagram you linked is not handbrake bore size but the outer diameter as it fits over the ...

Hi Ian Do you happen to have kept or recorded which parts it was you ordered? I seem to be in a bit of no mans land at the moment re supply of these discs at less than bmw prices . Re: 130i to M135i Brake upgrade project

Discs have arrived and good news is they look pretty with nice black painted centres :) ..... bad news is they have sent 750i ones  which are identical in all but the handbrake drum size which is only 180mm on these opposed to 185mm on my car and M5 so these wont fit over handbrake, luckily i...
