Re: Strange handling

Marco was spot on. I set pressure to around 30-31 and it was a 100% improvement. The soft sidewall means the sweetspot threshold is very small. Anything below 30 or above 32 introduces issues for me.

Re: Another M140 or wait for new model

Don't see a climate sync button.

Quite like the interior and the rear but not the short bonnet. It sounds rubbish but will probably drive fantastic.

Did I hear him say the 2 series will be rwd with fwd switching? Like the m5.

Re: Major Brake judder issue

OK, but I was suggesting it might be the bushes and your discs dont need replacing at all - have them check anyway though :) Yeh I've noticed they aren't super expensive to get bushes replaced. The discs are lipped and need replacing at some point in the near future whatever happens. Not too fussed...

Re: Major Brake judder issue

I remember paying out continuously for an old e60 that used to have a rough idle in the cold , indi changed everything , glow plugs , control units multiple “diagnostic fees” still didn’t sort out the issue . If it was out of warranty then youd still be paying BMW for all that, albeit £130 per hour...

Re: Major Brake judder issue

Wouldn’t have thought the price for yours will be to bad They want £1,100 for 4 discs and pads. They wont put discs on without new pads even though mine are less than 8 months old. They didn't mention about the discs needing replaced when i had the brake fluid changed 6 months ago. Even if they don...

Re: Major Brake judder issue

I had brake judder on my previous f10 5 series after having ferrodo pads fitted by an indi f1 autocentres Only resolution was to take it to bmw for genuine pads and new discs which sorted it . I have learned buy cheap pay twice , so much so with BMW Interesting. I've read up a bit and seems like yo...

Major Brake judder issue

Afternoon all, I've been experiencing major brake judder when going over 30+. After 70 it's like my wheels are shaking off, noticeable through the chassis really. I replaced pads 7months ago but not discs. Car is on 47k now and time for new discs. It was fine when BWM serviced the car inc brake flui...

If your car is pre PPF I'd be paying it off and keeping it.
Honestly my 19 plate is pathetic
Does the PPF version get cracks/pops in comfort and standard drive mode? Wanting a m140 but my n55 mpe sounds fantastic.

Re: Start Stop Savings

One of the youtubers did a little experiment on this. It boils down to idling for 7 seconds is better than turning off the engine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFImHhNwbJo&t=352s I'm not convinced either way or to be honest arsed either way. So i turn it on when in high traffic, best of both worl...

Re: dreadful exhaust flap rattle .

Has anyone tried replacing only the little spring in the flap/actuator gubbins to see if it makes a difference? Looks like it' only about £5 for the part ('Fixing Bow' 18307620323). Thinking about it though, I guess that holds the flap in the open position rather than closed, since that's the posit...

Mine only rattles sometimes at start up. To cure this I keep my foot on the pedal slightly and after 30 seconds its gone!
Yeh i noticed that too. It's only happened a few times so it's not major to me. But still it shouldn't happen.

Re: Exhaust rattle pole - Have you been affected?

I have a rattling MPE. Is this the first MPE with the issue? Yes, as the MPE doesn't have any flaps! :) So that must be something else, loose bracket, heat shield etc It has a valve that opens up like stock on the older n55 MPE. It's making the exact same rattle noise from the passenger tailpipe. I...

Re: dreadful exhaust flap rattle .

My MPE seems to have developed this issue now. Does anyone have any instructions on how to fix the MPE rattle on the N55?

I'll unplug the flap while it's open for now but want to try and fix the spring if i can.

Take it it's best to unplug the flap whilst it's in Sport+ for the N55?

Re: N55 reliability

Hello everyone, has anyone had this kit fitted and can say it solved there stationary knocking of the steering with the ignition on? The video seems to prove it, the fix looks costs effective compared to a new rack. Let me know :D I'm happy with the outcome, it's hard to explain the difference but ...
