Re: N55 reliability

You shouldn't need to dismantle anything. Knocked a tool up and had a quick look, I can just about see it from the engine bay. But couldn't get tool anywhere near it. Which is best way to access? Wheel off laid on the floor would be my next attempt. Interesting as I called Darren wood yesterday and...

Re: N55 reliability

Turns out mine is knocking too. Not surprisingly. Anyway spoke to Darren Wood and he's said BMW have just released a kit to replace a part. So booked in all in around £60. Happy if it relieves this slight handling issue. Cheers Marco Do enlighten us on this kit as mine is still knocking even after ...

Re: Alignment is STILL off

Don't want to hijack a thread but i feel similar. Had it done last time and it just feels poor. Thought it was the tyres but they seem fine. Heres my printout. https://imgur.com/a/xIMIlvU

Re: Strange handling

funnily enough i've been experiencing a similar issue. I had ASY3 on the rears and PSS on the front and it was fine. After putting ASY3 on the front to match it felt twichy at high speeds. Really twitch so much so i nearly binned it. Had it tracked and still feels like sh*t. I will post the diagram...

Re: Strange handling

Thanks Guys, just found another thread where the guy was reporting almost identical issues and having matched fronts cured it so looks like that might be my best option. I think its probably just imbalance between the different characteristics of the tyres. Fingers crossed anyway as it get expensiv...

Re: Quaife diff + GY Assy3 tyres = very reactive TC light?

Since going from PSS to ASY3 all round im well aware of the lack of dry grip/feel. It's night and day. As for the wet or damp they are better. All in all id go for PSS next time.

Re: Greetings, I own the ‘snot rocket’

My favourite colour was BMW Artic Metallic which I had on my E91. It changed colour depending on the light; the log book stated the colour as green but depending on the light it would appear grey/green and all colours in-between. I was really sad on purchasing my M140 on the limited colours availab...

Re: Reversed into the front of my M135i - opinion on damage

Nearly 3 grand FFS!!!! :-), can't see her coughing up that much. Nice to see it's being done properly tho'. The only thing getting done here is the TPs insurers and the rest is us paying inflated premiums. That’s quite frankly disgusting from BMW! 110% OP must be rubbing his hands together with the...

never seen those - do they actually work?
Yeh perfectly. Not a fan of running them for long or at high speed mind but they get you out of a jam. Used them plenty of times. Got one in now with tyres on the way.
