Re: Pdc not working

I'm fairly sure Vml 009e39 is a faulty front left side sensor, not sure what the others are. Did you clear the fault codes after replacing the fronts? I changed one of the fronts on mine recently and it was pretty much plug and play so you might have a faulty cable or been unlucky and got another do...

Re: Damaged underside of my car - rainwater leaking in

Some photos of the damage might help but it sounds like you might need to see a decent bodyshop even if it's all mechanically sound, as you've probably damaged drainage channels or taken a chunk out the underside of the car.

Oil Leak - Rear Crankshaft

Had the 130i in for a service and MOT this week, passed the MOT but the guys doing the service pointed out a few suspension bushes I'd need to look at but the worst issue is an oil leak from the rear crankshaft seal. Car's been using\loosing around 1l of oil about every 6000 miles which doesn't seem...

Quote for ARB bushes

Hi,

Can I have a quote for either part 31352405870 or 2 x 31356765574. Am I right in thinking the first part number is a kit of 2 whereas the second part number is individual bushes? It's to fit the front arb on a 130i, reg MM55 CCO.

Thanks

Just tell them you only do 3k a year, I've never had an insurance company ask me for proof of annual miles

If it's been recorded at your MOT they'll know anyway, it's just your luck if they decide to do anything about it.

Re: Front PDC sensor replacement

Quick update for anyone doing this in the future. I picked up a damaged box OEM sensor on eBay for £25. The front centre sensors are accessible just by releasing the top of the bumper, this guide covers all you need to know. Dead easy 10 minute job.

Re: 130i Rear Brake Parts Confusion

I went to brakeparts.co.uk when I done the rears on mine. Unless you're wanting track day stuff everything they provide seems good quality and their service is great.

Thanks, I'll make sure I pick up some genuine ones, looks like too tedious a job to be doing twice.

Front PDC sensor replacement

My PDC has been giving an error message on the dash anytime it attempts to engage, either by reversing or pressing the dash button recently. I read the error codes today and it's giving a 9E3A (9E 3A E1 01 4B 14 09) error which I think means the front centre right sensor has failed. Access seems lik...

Re: What to look for...

If it was my money I'd be leaning toward the Fiesta as I don't think the 118i would be as much fun, has too many potential issues and general running costs (excluding insurance for you) aren't really any better than the 130i.

Re: What Did You Do To Your 1 Series Today?

Ouch that makes my black e87 look crap again haha What did they charge you for it if I may ask? Would be a good investment for me too.. Was £300 but I think that was cheap as it ended up needing largely a 3 stage correction which some of the other local detailers seem to quote double for. The swirl...

Picked her up after getting some paint correction done on 13 years of swirls and scratches.

Re: Steering wheel detailing

Try making up some soapy water with a liquid hand soap if Dr Leather isn't working.
