Re: Fitted this bad boy in my F20 yesterday [emoji1]

I bought mine in March this year from a guy called Jav Ali on Facebook (he’s also selling on eBay). I paid considerably less then ADC (£430 including Apple CarPlay adapter) and as far as I can tell it’s identical to what ADC sell. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190814/b7c093f85f8f1409d79ed94954...

Re: 123d Power mods

The N47 block will stand about as much power as it can physically achieve, there have been a few tested to 400-480ftlbs torque and no blown internals AFAIK. It already has a forged crank, rods and very strong alloy pistons. The injectors don't need changing as they're already very capable. Gutting ...

E8X Essentials

Guys I have both an F series and E series one series car.

What are the essential upgrades that you think is worth doing to the E series which is relatively cheap for what result you get out of it .

For example and essential for the F20 car is the underbody brace.

Thanks in advance

Soot in engine bay-125D-Not Egr or Down Pipe

I have soot build up in my engine bay on the coolant tank and all around the cold side of the turbos.

The EGR was checked by BMW last week under their recall procedure and they found no leaks.

Any ideas?

Many Thanks

Re: Ohlins R&T vs Bilstein PSS10'S

I have Ohlins on my M140i. Changed from the supplied 6kg/16kg springs to 7kg/12kg swift springs. Much better in my opinion. Have driven some very bumpy Australian country roads at speed and it just soaks them up. Sounds good, what length springs did you use front and rear ? Ive spoken to Ohlins abo...

Re: 120D M47 Blue Smoke

If you strip off the intake manifold I would STRONGLY recommend you walnut blast that car while its off.

The amount of gunk on the intake valves must be immense.

Re: 120D M47 Blue Smoke

There is no scouring on the cold side of turbo. If the turbo goes you'll know it . The only reason oil is present on the turbo is blow by . Unless you have checked for shaft play which again I doubt. Pray its the turbo as that is minimal cost to replace as opposed to piston rings. Remember the car i...

Re: Ohlins R&T vs Bilstein PSS10'S

What about a 9" or 10.5" Faulkner spring and wind the adjuster up/down to obtain the ride height ? there should be enough adjustment for one or the other i would of thought :) Edit to add: Faulkner will make you any spring you want so if 10" is the one you must have they will do it for you. Ian Its...
