Re: Disc "top hat" cleaning

Probably a bit too expensive, but handy to keep around for exhaust tips too. https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/18-piece-polishing-kit/ First clean down with wheel cleaner and fallout remover. Finally clean with tar and glue remover. Once as clean as you can get it, apply some compound (I personally hi...

Re: Where do you go from a Baby M?

My mind is made up. With a 2nd child freshly born, it would be naive to think I could keep this car for longer than another 12 months.. I need more room, and I'm not wanting to compromise on performance. I think the perfect middle ground is a hot estate. RS4/M5 touring. Possibly even a CLS 55 AMG Se...

Re: Where do you go from a Baby M?

I'd likely love the idea of a Cooper S. However with two kids and all the boot load of stuff that comes with them, I need more space.

The M135i just about has enough space. Can't afford to go smaller!

Re: Where do you go from a Baby M?

Ok so can I be the only one seriously considering (when I'm ready) chopping in the Baby M for the new Hyundai i30N Performance? Not only would it be more fun (as its more focused), there's more space, its 280 ish HP and for a 4 cylinder it actually sounds surprisingly good. Plus I'd be saving a fis...

Re: Where do you go from a Baby M?

Not bad looking. Cross between an Alfa and a focus? Looks like they’ve nicked the 405m wheels. Like those. That’s because Hyundai nicked Albert Biermann, ex-vice president of bmw m car engineering... Still, that Hyundai would have to be considerably cheaper to be able to compete with the premium br...

I don't believe so (but I'm happy to be corrected)

Voice control simply lets you send voice commands to your phone via Siri, or in my case, Google Now.

OBD mandatory for JB4?

Hi guys, I'm toying the with the idea of purchasing a JB4 for my M135i and bolt info on the Bluetooth module also. As I understand it, the Bluetooth module will allow me to switch maps via an app. What I now want to understand is whether the hook up to the OBD port is necessary with the Bluetooth mo...

Re: ANOTHER attempted theft

After a week, you'll be a pro at putting it on and removing it.

It's always a shitter doing it in the rain but needs must.

Just don't get lazy as sods law means that'll be when they have another bite.

Re: ANOTHER attempted theft

Same advice I give to everyone.

Disklok is the most cost effective deterrent

3-star locks are the most cost effective preventative fix.

Edit: Removing and replacing a disklok twice a day would be far less of a pain than constantly shuffling around cars

Re: 8.8" Pro Nav Screen on Bus Nav

What car are you wanting to fit it to?

M140 I suppose?

I coded mine to an M135i.

I can only think the screen isn't compatible with your car providing everything's been hooked up correctly.
