Re: M235i

I was hoping for them to drop to the 12k mark, but I guess it's a long wait or never then. I guess even at 17k they are still a lot of car for the money...hmmm

M235i

Hi there In a couple of years I am looking at getting a M235i so will be saving very hard for one  Just seems a natural progression from a E82 118D  I know the market can fluctuate value wise, but right now I am seeing 64 reg examples going for as little as £17k so in 2 years from now, due...

Re: Remap & Exhaust (Back Box)

I've had the mid box removed for a straight pipe, along with my Ulter straight through back box, there is absolutely no change to the sound whatsoever. It sounds exactly the same as it did by having a Ulter back box and mid silencer in place. Maybe I am trying to justify the £50 spent, but there fe...

Re: 118D Exhaust

Mid silencer + Ulter Back Box Straight through (no mid silencer) + Ulter Back Box Sounds exactly the same volume wise. Between these two configurations. As above. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-118D-E82-Coupe-Ulter-Performance-Exhaust-Rear-Back-Box-Twin-70mm/292414051306?epid=650349185&hash=item4415...

118D Exhaust

Hi Last year I had the standard Back Box on the Exhaust system on my 118D replaced, for a replacement by Ulter (it is a straight through Back Box whatever that means). However recently it's been playing on my mind, should I have the middle silencer removed? Will this affect the Engine behaviour in a...

Re: Remap & Exhaust (Back Box)

I plan to leave the CAT/DPF intact, will removing the middle silencer for a straight pipe affect the performance? I was told today it can affect the behaviour of the car, but was not told if it would be a negative or positive? Again would I require the remap adjusting for this? I'd imagine it would ...

Re: OE audio OE-200U under seat subs

Running these, they are great for the price. But they will require connection to external amp for the best results. 2 channels are required as they are wired in stereo.

Thanks, it's always nice to see variations on different Dynos, but to tune it your way? That's all Money that I am short of at the moment.

Re: Long term effect of remapping

But they can be fun regardless of weight, took my mapped 118D down some Country Lanes, and had a right blast, it is actually the first time this Car put a smile on my Face, since owning a Ford Focus!

Re: Long term effect of remapping

Yeh the Guy behind the Counter phoned his Supplier, whom told the Guy at Halfords that it is a sealed for life unit, and that the Oils never needed changing, but for some reason the Supplier caved, and could source what I required, and Halfords took the job on. I do have the invoice but sadly it is ...
