Re: Realistic budget for a good 135i coupe

OP i'd like to see the well spec'd 40-60k car you'd seen for 8k

For an N55 DCT with a good spec and low mileage you'll be looking at £13-14k.

August 2007 build E81 120d - Which OEM headunits fit?

Looking to put car back to standard, bought it with a pioneer double din. I've just bought the trim piece to refit climate/heated seat buttons in correct locations. Finding searching for a BMW headunit is a minefield though, so many different part numbers etc. Any definitive guide? I've scoured real...

Re: To keep 135i or not to keep?... M3 or C63?

I sold my 135i DCT about 4 months ago, instantly regretted it. Searched and searched for a suitable M2, found a couple but the dealers wouldn't budge on their prohibitive APR's for the finance I required at the time. Turned my attention to E92 M3 / C63 / RS5's.... the RS5 was awful (apart from the e...

120d part ex

Hi guys, been a while.... I've taken a 57 plate N47 powered 120d 3 door hatch on a P/X. Want to get it serviced and a few bits sorted for sale. Big question - what oil should I use? seems to be a lot of debate between 0w-30 and 5w-40?! Any recommendations for a relatively cheap oil that will do the ...

Re: Worth the wait!

I’d put the not replacing the bulb thing down to having a new born baby, not driving the car outside of daylight hours and pure bone idleness.. definitely not lack of care, I am hugely OCD with my cars! That car is without a doubt once of the most well sorted N55 135i DCT’s out there and I’m very gl...

Re: 130i hunting

Hi I'm new on here. I've started the hunt for a 130i. Hoping to spend £6k ish for c80k miles but more focused on history and condition than anything. Anyone selling I'd be keen to hear from them. I'm surprised there's no selling forum on here - or is it hidden to new members? There is and there is ...

Re: New 135i E82 N55 DCT

Hope you've got decent suspension and tyres on there, if not i'd put them top of your list. My car has got the Birds Bilstein/Eibach damper/spring set, eibach ARBs, some E9X M3 bits and a subframe insert, along with Michelin PSS and it handles fantastically well in comparison to the standard car. Al...

Re: Audi S3 to 135i (N54) - Suggestions

N55 is a hell of a lot more reliable than the N54, but being forced induction it's still not as reliable as the N52, simply because it has more things to go wrong. If you drive a 125i and 135i (N55) back to back you'll know what to do.. the 125i is a quick car, the 135i is a lunatic. If you plump fo...

Re: Audi S3 to 135i (N54) - Suggestions

When I was looking good 125i's were close to 135i N55 money, and the 125i even with a remap is not even close in terms of raw performance, although the N52 is a wonderful engine in its own right.. 130i's, good ones seem hard to come by these days, mainly high milers or ones that simply haven't been ...

Re: Potential 135i owner. Unsure on pricing

Surely no more than than £6k?! what's the point of paying £9k for that car, spending potentially 3k getting it sorted, then you've got a high mileage 135i worth max £9k anyway that you will have to run into the ground and probably spend shed loads more on to keep going. Madness, if you've got £10-12...

Re: Smart paintwork repair or re-spray

Have it done properly, smart repairs are what dealers/traders use as a temporary fix to shift cars.
