Found a surprise 12v power socket

Anybody else noticed the 4th 12v socket? Bellow the right had side of the glove box pointing down! (RHD car) Only taken me six months and 15000 miles to find.....

Re: Larger fuel tank

to put the UK company car tax into perspective, the 225xe is currently taxed on 9% of its list price, a 220d xdrive is taxed on 26% of its list price. I'm happy to put up with filling up a few extra times, and less mpg on longer journeys for the massive tax saving, plus even with the recent long jou...

Re: Larger fuel tank

Wow you win! That is seriously good, sounds like you have a heavier foot than me as well, mine is showing total 6500 miles (10460 Km) Electric only 2631.8 miles (4235 Km) and 254 Litres saved. Last trip 28 miles (45k) , 44 min, 63% Electric and 141.2 mpg (2L/100K) I put it down to the congested UK r...

Re: Larger fuel tank

That is an interesting theory of Kewi's. On the face of it it sounds counterintuitive running the ICE under load to charge the battery to about 70%, but then get better overall economy and range. I'll have to give it a go. From my experience running with the gearbox in sport mode locks out 6th gear,...

Re: Larger fuel tank

exactly so the tank has to be a percentage full for the test, so smaller tank = less weight = better co2/mpg figures.

I wish a bigger tanks was optional on the 225xe, was in Scotland last week, did over 2000 miles, and seemed to be filling it up twice a day.

Re: Road testing an M Sport when trying to buy a Luxury ...

Other main difference is the seats, unless the optional sports seats are specified, then the Luxury in the UK will have the standard seats, which I found short, uncomfortable and hard. The sports seats are vastly superior in my mind and worth getting a Sport or Msport for. I would strongly suggest a...

Re: 225xe

As promised one week in review. And first the headline figures, over 702 miles this week, my average is 71.9 mpg. WOW cant complain at that, last long term car was an Audi A4 which was averaged 54 mpg over its 88000 miles with me. According to the BMW app, this week I've managed 307.8 miles of pure ...

Re: 225xe

Got my 225xe sport today First journey complete, and 104.6 mpg, over 27.3 miles with 56% on battery. Range was showing as 25 miles on battery on a full charge. Cant complain about that, mixture of the busy Oxford ring road, and some emply B roads. When I test drove the 225 back in August I was drivi...

Re: And so here it is, merry tourer, everybody's having fun...

Well its here, and I have the keys. 20 miles and 9% charge on the clock. Had a good luck round, unfortunately the seagulls have been using it for target practice for the last few days! car looks fine, small interior scuff on the trim by the A pillar, and oddly a new razor blade tucked in behind one ...

Yes Doncaster this morning, York this afternoon, then back home to Oxford. Looking forward to the delights of Crewe next week! Will be interesting to see what MPG it will return on these trips. At least the company is paying. I'm not sure the AT is the best looking car in the BMW Range at the moment...

Sorry about the double post, if I could work out how to attach a picture from an iphone I'd share it! Anyway platinum silver, 385 wheels, kept the options down as company car to comfort pack, auto dim mirrors, and run flat's. My kids were desperate for the pano roof, but took it over my grade allowa...

Love the Colour, shame a nice blue is not available for us lesser mortals in our sports... Glad to see somebody else has gone for the debadge option on one of the higher performance models! Enjoy yourselves with it. 4 days for me and counting!
