Re: 135i E88 seats replacement/retrofit (M3 or F20)

Just an update to everyone. The airbag light was in fact from passenger occupancy sensor. This is often the case as this comes up for almost everyone I have read about online... £30 fix with kits from eBay. This fools the seat into thinking there's always a butt on it and there's also a little resis...

Re: 135i E88 seats replacement/retrofit (M3 or F20)

Hello, I need some help. I installed the M3 seats today. So far so good, my wiring is all the same APART from one bit which confuses me and after installing the Passenger side the car has thrown me "Restraint system fault" and airbag light but the whole seat works. Basically, Pins 18 and 19 for side...

Re: 135i E88 seats replacement/retrofit (M3 or F20)

Finally pulled the trigger on some E92 M3 seats and got them for £250 + delivery. Result! I have looked and my seat connector is the same for the most part but I'm almost sure the pinout is different. I'm also missing one of the grey connectors which I think are from the seat belt. Just need to tran...

Re: hesitation when accelerating 135ì

Is this generally whilst the oil temperature is still cold? Alex Sorry to revive an old thread, but I have a hesitation/stumbling as well. N54 like the others, from 2008, 81k miles, had it since 56k. Mine happens strictly when the engine is cold for the first 5 mins or so. It's noticeable in the fi...

Re: Rear Main Seal N54

The old saying springs to mind. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. If the seal isn’t leaking, I’d leave it. It’s not a common part to fail. I do have a leak. Not sure where the leak is from yet as I haven't taken the whole plastic guard off to inspect yet (pain in the ass). I suspect the oil pan gaske...

Re: Rear Main Seal N54

I've had a look and two sizes come up. Not sure which is correct. One is 90x110x12 and apparently the new one which is meant to supersede it is 90x110x8? Surely that much of a height difference is wrong?

Rear Main Seal N54 135i

Hi, I can't find anything related and useful using the search regarding this subject. My car is leaking some oil and I have the single mass flyhweel and clutch to do soon so I might as well get the rear main seal done while at it. I hear there is an updated part no.. Anyone know what that number is?...

Re: M3 Suspension Parts advice / help

Sorry to necro the thread, but am I correct in thinking that most of the components listed here are made by TRW?
If so I found them substantially cheaper from buycarparts.co.uk (I'm not advertising or spamming, only trying to provide information after finding extortionate prices on fleebay myself).

Re: Ambient Lighting 'retrofit' in my e87 :)

I know this is an old post but I just got this strip now from this link https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F152853696398 And I fitted it but I'm not that happy with the colour even though it is called 1M Orange. It's slightly more washed out than the ac...

I’m running spec stage 3+ and a MFactory single mass flywheel for the last 10k miles no issues. I’ve just installed Vargas gc turbos so looking forward to see how much it can hold.
How much did you pay for those and from where?

Re: Clutch for 135i

BMW Part number 21107603248, apparently this is the same and is as cheap as Ive seen it https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/332733310433?ul_noapp=true Are you sure this is correct as MegaMinion linked me to a clutch above which has a different part no. to this one! 624336700 vs 624377800 ? PS: Anyone looked...

Re: Clutch for 135i

550i clutch does indeed fit, Ive got one in mine - you can check the dimensions against RealOEM. Feels like standard, supposedly holds well over 600 lb/ft - Ive got about 550 and theres no issues with slip :) Sweet! Thank you for confirming. Do you remember how much you paid for yours and where you...
