Re: Bluespark Tuning Box

Morning all, My box went back to Ed last week as the lumpiness wasn’t going away. Drove the car without it for the first time in a while, it’s so much more responsive without it! You get used to the lag I guess but it was obviously down on power. Got the box back yesterday and plugged in it and wha...

Re: MPE = Angry Neighbours!

Thanks for all the responses guys. I agree, MPE is the perfect tone, however it would be great to have the option when it's 6am and a built up area, to have a quiet start button. The first 10 seconds on start up on a cold morning resonate right down the street. I'm not too bothered and it makes me ...

Re: Anyone heard both Remus and Akra catback in person?

I take it you mean the rendering of the exhaust overrun? From the video it sounds different to Remus one. Not just the over run but the sound tone when it's under load... If it's something your ears can't hear or not sensitive to, then I would say that the additional outlay is hard to justify.. I k...

Re: Centre pipe delete M140i

You wont be disappointed! Just had my BCS non res centre section fitted on the Shadow Edition, cant stop driving with windows down! Sounds x20 better This is really encouraging. Like most sensible people on here I want more "beef" and a bit of noise between gears. I've been going back and forth on ...

Re: MPE = Angry Neighbours!

When you start it hold the throttle ever so slightly you should raise the Revs enough to get over the grumply noise they will be complaining of.

As for Sytner, do you have a contact there?

Re: JB+ v Bluespark

Just thought I would add my thoughts. I took the plunge and ordered a bluespark last Wednesday - It arrived promptly on Thursday. Spent a whole 8 minutes fitting it (not including letting the car shut down for 5 mins first) and went to give it a test drive. Initial thoughts? It was more responsive, ...

Re: Best insurer for mods/options?

Thought I’d resurrect this thread as it was interesting reading for me. I didn’t even realise initially when reading but I am also with Admiral. I got my renewal notice through at the weekend at it had gone from £425 to £640?! I thought these guys are taking the Mick. In addition I’ve recently modde...

Re: M140i unstable at many leptons

Morning Gang, Can't say I have this issue if I'm honest - mine is now on H&R's, Spacers and set up by a decent H&R specialist - Camber/Toe etc. That being said - I often played keep up with my friends RS6 (less of the keeping up and more of the waiting for him to slow down) on private roads and it w...

Re: Corroded exhaust tips - BMW need the car booked in to repair??

Thanks guys.

Sadly i also awoke to a lovely fat scuff on my rear bumper this morning that I noticed on my way to BMW. My neighbour has owned up so it’s booked in on Friday for estimate AND exhaust looked at.

Corroded exhaust tips - BMW need the car booked in to repair??

Morning all, Got the usual exhaust tips issue that most have on here. From what I’ve read it’s a standard warranty job so I popped into BMW today and they say I have to book my car in for a full inspection? Sounds a bit pointless. I asked why I can’t just take the tips off and give them to them for ...
