Re: Twitchy steering after alignment

Did they weight up the drivers seat or have someone sat in it when doing alignment ? should bring cambers closer with some weight in drivers seat if not. I'm not sure as I was in the waiting area when he did it. Makes sense about the weight of the driver. I'll ask him next time I'm round there.

Re: Twitchy steering after alignment

You don't want it on 23 minutes, 18 maximum. I'd increase it a little (to about 12 or 14 minutes), see how that feels. Your front cambers aren't that different, there are only 60 minutes in a degree (for example 0.59 and 1.01 are basically the same). Yours are only 15 minutes difference, which is p...

Re: Twitchy steering after alignment

If you want it more stable, add some front toe back in again. Going from 23 minutes down to 8 minutes is going to feel like a big change. Rear look well set-up. :) Thanks. I'll have it set back to 23 and see how it feels. Any idea why the front right camber would be soo different in the first pictu...

Twitchy steering after alignment

Recently had a 4 wheel alignment done and the car feels extremely twitchy on the motorway. Minimal input to the steering causes the car to dart across lanes. Also getting some pull to the left. I've included the printout for before and after. Anything wrong with these numbers. Before https://i.imgur...

Re: ATE Disc and pads. Any good?

Since I'm refreshing the front brakes would it be wise to get upgraded brake lines? I don't track the car so I'm not sure if would make much difference on the road. Any recommendations on which ones to get?

Re: ATE Disc and pads. Any good?

Thanks. Glad I went for something better this time. The brembo pads I used the last time made alot of noise when braking.

ATE anchors should be fine.
Thanks! Hopefully they'll fix the vibration problem.

ATE Disc and pads. Any good?

Just about to order some ATE disc and pads to sort out a vibration problem when braking at high speeds. Has anyone got these on there car? Any thoughts on them? Don't want to buy crap and get them changed again In 6 months time.

Thanks!

Re: Please help, need step by step for iDrive Navi Retro

Hi all, I own a 2008 135i and I swapped out the dash for the Navi dash off of a 2013. Now I'm ready to buy the electronics, software and harnesses that I need to fulfill a full CIC nBT EVO idrive retrofit. I've searched all over and I can't seem to get much help or resources on this subject. I just...

Re: My Suspension quest! 130i

Managed to get the front konis in today. Set them on a quarter turn from full soft. Quite happy with them as far as absorbing bumps. The car doesnt seem to dip when braking anymore. I wish I could somehow get rid of the creeking coming from the drivers side A Piller when going over bumps. It really...

Re: Vibration from steering when braking

Could be lots of things annoyingly, egged tyre, wheel balance, buckled wheel, dead damper, seized calliper piston, poorly/burst bush, the list goes on.... :( That's alot of things I could to check :( Well I can narrow some things down. I replaced the front tyres to Michelin PS4s a few months ago, s...
