Re: The future of engines?

That and the Mazda tech together, that'd be all of the awesome. Did expect it to be fitted to cars these days but haven't heard of any?

Re: e8x Anti Roll Bar options

Recently fitted e93 m3 front and 15mm 335i rear to my e81. Seems to me that under corner load the body roll is reduced, therefore reduces the dynamic camber change. Leaving a wider contact patch and more front grip (which matches how it feels to me). Statically the camber remains the same, so it sho...

N52b30 light shudder mid to high rev/load

Recently the car has been in for a service and it seems to have developed a light vibration/shudder from around half way through the rev range and up. First I mostly noticed it firm acceleration. But recently I revved and the engine seems unhappy without any drivetrain loads. Which isolates the prob...

I'd not bother and get a 125kw/120i later. Or a 130i..

Re: 130i stock exhaust supposed to be boomy?

Any possibility of a mid silencer delete? If for some reason there is more tension on exhaust mounting rubbers, they could transmit more vibrations. But checking intake side is a point well made too.

Re: Buying Used E81

I've got close to 65k miles from a set of discs and pads, of which 25k previous careful owner. I see no reason to put an age limit to spark plugs. Pretty sure the first set came out at around 50-60k and still looked good enough to put back. Difference in engine running/response was negligible. Maybe...

Thinking of changing out of my bmwp to these
Do you have gold or grey ones? Looking for a grey set fronts. I've some 340mm f series 4 pots with discs that won't clear either 17" wheelset I'd like to use. Please pm if we may be able to work something out, I'm not on here often.

Re: DIY/Custom OEM Short Shift Lever

Thanks for that picture, that's quite interesting. Would imagine the 1m shift mech is way different then 130i, judging by the length under the ball.

Re: DIY/Custom OEM Short Shift Lever

I like the idea a lot. Ought to be strong enough after welding, I would think. Not sure about the plastic bit at the bottom and the rubber between the lower and upper bit. Will be toast after welding I imagine.

Re: Acceleration/ throttle lag e87 120i naturally aspirated

To some extend I think it's normal, especially if the rest of the voyage has been fairly sedate (adaptive throttle is my guess). I also find it very annoying. To get the best from it, usually means riding with a certain rhythm and feeding the throttle ie not asking more then the engine can make at t...

Re: 130i to M135i Brake upgrade project

Holy batman that looks tight!

Anyone got any tips for stuck discs? They seem rusted on the hubs. Front wheels had been on for around 5 years and where a struggle to get off as well :|
