Re: DIY/Custom OEM Short Shift Lever

Thanks for that picture, that's quite interesting. Would imagine the 1m shift mech is way different then 130i, judging by the length under the ball.

Re: DIY/Custom OEM Short Shift Lever

I like the idea a lot. Ought to be strong enough after welding, I would think. Not sure about the plastic bit at the bottom and the rubber between the lower and upper bit. Will be toast after welding I imagine.

Re: Acceleration/ throttle lag e87 120i naturally aspirated

To some extend I think it's normal, especially if the rest of the voyage has been fairly sedate (adaptive throttle is my guess). I also find it very annoying. To get the best from it, usually means riding with a certain rhythm and feeding the throttle ie not asking more then the engine can make at t...

Re: 130i to M135i Brake upgrade project

Holy batman that looks tight!

Anyone got any tips for stuck discs? They seem rusted on the hubs. Front wheels had been on for around 5 years and where a struggle to get off as well :|

Re: Facelift 130i with E-LSD ?

Pretty sure '09 models have them. A guy used to have a '09 e87 with E-lsd and hydraulic rack and cic nav. Mine's probably slightly younger with epas, E-lsd and same nav. Not sure '08 models had E-lsd, never seen anybody tell or question that. Maybe worth starting a thread with info about equipment a...

Re: rear tyres wearing out like ice-cream on a summer day

Doesn't seem bad going to me either. If the wear is even across the tire, pressure ought to be fine. If you still have doubts, maybe have the alignment checked?

Re: 130i to M135i Brake upgrade project

After laying up a potential m135i caliper/wheel combo it seems it might only clear with some small spacers. From the flanges the caliper bolts to, to the outside of the caliper measures approximately 124mm. From the split of the caliper to the outside measures 81mm. A safe clearance would be somethi...
