Re: New M240i or used F10 M5?

I also had an XFR, same as Jim. The reason it went is running costs, I'm saving around £300pm with the M140, so you're looking at similar with the M5.

Only had my M140 a couple of weeks but the gap to the XFR is really not so big!

Unless you have deep pockets for running costs and repairs, M240..

Re: New car ordered and road tax question?

Yeah, tax will be fine. Likely to be an in flight order that has been tweaked to spec, or an already ordered one in the same spec. Typically what the big dealers do!

Re: BMW recall ECU issues as of April 2018

Well, I'm off to the dealer this afternoon to tell them the car is lost and I want either a car from stock or a refund. Seven weeks stuck in Soutampton with no end in sight is enough for me! We taking bets what they'll say? They might give you a showroom car.. wait it out demand compensation, it's ...

Re: Current best deals on new M140i ?

No it is, I just had to take the sunroof out for the tax. I'm just saying the price I paid vs the current price. My price was fixed which was a smidge less than expected! My point was if I ordered the same spec now I'd be looking at around £35pm more, but, rock guard guaranteed

Re: Current best deals on new M140i ?

I can't remember now! Might have been Q1 pricing actually.. there was a jump in March which I avoided but lost the sunroof to stay under £40k, then another change in prices and GFV in Q2. I originally ordered through Sytner in October, then canceled but pricing didn't change too much when I ordered ...

Re: Current best deals on new M140i ?

I ordered with Q4 pricing and they increased by about£35pm in March. Not that bad, just need to drop an option or two or suck it up. Still the best car for the money!!

They have changed the Left and Right radiator supports as well as adding the 'rock guards', all happened around December 2017.
Marco - might be worth adding the pic of the BMW guard as a reference point on the FAQ too?

Mine was built in March and has it fitted. Any vehicle not yet delivered should have one fitted as mine was also one of the first to be held at Southampton following Sandgate.

Re: M140i Radiator Loss of Coolant

Anyone with an order in the pipeline should have the rock guard. Mine was ordered in Jan, held at Southampton and I collected Sat, and that's my rock guard in the picture 😎

Re: Buying new - the process - what do I need to know

It's not normal to walk without spec.. sounds like my Sytner order which I ended up cancelling and using forum sponsor TRL. Flawless communication and expectations met 100%. If you have doubts, you can cancel!

Re: M140i stolen North nottingham

Quite close to home :( sorry to hear this, must be awful. My keys would be easy enough to find, I'm hopeful that the location and the fact the thrives should see at least 10 cameras to get past to get the car out of my cul-de-sac will help.

Is now the right time to mortgage then? Get a better deal on the house to afford the 240i too, you're going to need a car anyway..
