Re: Options you regret/wouldn't pick again

I bought my m135i used. Only extra spec was mineral grey. No cruise control, but I have since had bmw retrofit it. Which is only the option that I have missed. I got halogen lights, it's ok, but I have put Philips ultinon led in them so it's a lot better now. But I'm thinking about mounting afterma...

Re: M140i oil change DIY

Resurrecting an old thread but thanks Williams for this post, did my oil change at the weekend @ 9500 miles - advice on here proved useful doing this change on ramps on my driveway! One thing might be worth pointing out is that I left my oil to drain for a good 20 minutes, just as I was about to re...

There was a thread on this ages back. Software update required to sort it - same issue, manchester airport caused cluster to go mad and do weird things.

Re: M135i/140i concerns

The golf will be boring, but will sort out your concerns in the wet..I don't think the m135/40 is that bad in the wet, maybe I don't expect it to grip like AWD when it's pissing down and you floor it at the lights, that's just common sense. Where it falls short there it definitely makes up for elsew...

Re: Best places to go for a remap on a X35?

None of the above will be better than MHD, which you can do on your own drive via the app from the play store. http://mhdtuning.com/mhd-flasher-f-series-n55/

Re: Time to move on from the m135i ?

I must be one of very few on here that think the opposite. I came from a track focused MK1 FRS (390bhp) and find the M135i great at everything. Fast in a straight line but I feel I can really throw it at a corner and it copes well indeed. Even been on a track day and again performed brilliant even ...

It'll be a long time before the B58 MHD gets released even into a closed beta.

Re: Down on power

Buzzing for you mate, told you MHD was the way to go over anything else or a local custom place. A proper map for the N55, with real R&D put into it for years before being released to the public and MHD seem to have amazing support for any issues as well. They will only release more features over ti...

Re: Anyone else’s car

You should really drive off boost for at least a few mins before parking up if you want to be mechanically sympathetic to help reduce wear and tear and cool things down.

Re: Down on power

Why don't you sack off these dire maps and get a proven product like MHD. Have to agree here. I'd never just let any old generic mapper touch my car personally. Looks like OP would rather that or a JB4. MHD is better than both of those, cheaper, map it yourself at home, user friendly & idiot proof....

I wouldn't worry too much, replacement boxes still whine. None have ever failed from it. It's a great auto box.
