Re: Tyre Choice ?

Just fitted 4 new PS4, replacing the MPSS on it before. Might not be fair comparing old to new, but I don't regret the PS4 at all and they were cheaper. Quiter, more comfortable, good grip. Not a car I push hard anyway so the PS4 is better in every way for us.

Cheers Rick. I'll stay out longer next time, but I promised the wife I'd be home by lunch time!

That M2 comp looked lovely! First one I've seen

Re: M240i - M4

Also drove an M3 CP when M135i in for service. In short, was pretty disappointed with it. - it was a whole size bigger than the M135i and really felt it on the narrow Kent roads - it didn't feel much quicker - even when you wound it out - the ride was gritty - much less forgiving at all speeds even...

Re: Theft via break in reminder

Good reminder. Glad they didn’t get in We’ve got security lighting all round the house (dusk to dawn lights) padlock on the side gate and very sharp spikes on the top of it, anti snap locks all round. What else can we do? Cameras are next on the list I've always been security conscious, even when b...

Re: Interesting tussle with a V8 M3

Id expect an m-lite to take down an E9x M3. There's boat loads of accessible torque from much lower down, if you were in front you'd have pulled a few car lengths on him I'd have thought.

The E9x is still a better car overall though and I'd choose one over the m-lite.

Re: 11 days in...

My own experience 140i after a month of ownership i can see why so many of these cars get crashed and damaged with the insane power and the skittish nature. These things can become earth, sky, earth, sky, ditch in a nano second... I am liking it i just don't trust it or myself at all...Turning off ...

Re: 11 days in...

Can believe how much praise the m140 gets - i think the handling is toilet (too floaty), damping is awful and the traction is poor. You get rid of all that you hate and you then get something that possibly becomes a not such a daily driver with little refinement or comfort, won't go over speeds bum...

Re: M140i xDrive or RWD

The fuel tank is the size of a thimble, so any lots in economy will just exacerbate the issue. Always seem to be filling it up. Not exactly an issue for me, I dont do many miles, but the range is appalling.

Re: Help! Pro nav or adaptive?

Pro nav. You'll see the difference everyday that you look down at that crap non pronav display. Sure get adaptive, flick the switch into comfort and you can feel the difference, just... It doesn't exactly turn it into a limo.

Re: Bit of bad luck

Sounds like its going to be inspection of boot floor, replacement of rear bumper, rear bumper supports and mounts, new rear diffuser, new sensors, new camera, repair on bootlid blend both quarters. This is just an estimate off my head without visually seeing the car. Your probably around £4-£5000 m...

Re: M135i vs m140?

Bluespark or JB+, 5 min job, best bang for the buck and it's as much as the chassis can cope with tbh. My other cars are a 911 turbo and GTR, our M135i will keep with both quite easily, unless the traffic light grand Prix is important? HK is not an important option for me, just fit the tweeters afte...

Re: Attempted theft SOUTH WALES

Woke up at 3am to someone walking around downstairs in my house. Think waking them up scared them off. They managed to get in through the smallest window and were obviously only looking for keys, stole works van keys and works ipad, had my car keys up in the bedroom with me, just pi**es me off the ...
