Re: Looking for more bass on HK system

I upgraded a mid level system in my e93, using an alpine retrofit kit - but left the standard subs under the seat. They were utterly transformed by adding a dedicated amp. The bass was much better in that set up than in my f20 with HK. The rest of the range, the HK is better. What I need to know is ...

Re: 1 new tyre? 2 new tyres? 4 new tyres?

Scottish blood in me... I would change one. Difference in circumference with what you would then have across the axle would be about 1%. Even with an LSD I would think that would be acceptable. Without an LSD, what are you worried about? I'd be more wary of an imbalance at the front which takes most...

Data capture from cars for Big Brother

I was on a corporate day at Jaguar sollihul usual stuff seeing production process end to end on fpace / velar which to be fair was impressive. After we had one of brand guys present and he was outlining how they now have to look to monetise data from car (as lower profit from electric cars due to r...

Re: Extreme inside tyre wear ?

Whislt impressive got me thinking . Exactly what telemetry data is uploaded ? Surely speeds / locations recorded and whilst they get this data i suspect can't be used against individual due to data protection laws but they will use on an anonymised basis as part of data research. Mind boggles on th...

Re: Holes in the trim under rear speakers into Boot area

No, but did loads of other sound proofing things which meant that removing the entire cargo shelf did not make the car any noisier - so therefore assume that the holes, or blocking the holes would have no effect.

Mine were a female dog to get off. But still look great, as do the inside of the pipes after about a thousand miles.

Diff oil change - extreme danger...

Missus comes home and finds a glass pyrex jug full of ugly grey used oil on the drive. Somewhat surprised that I have a garage jug very similar to the jug used for cooking..... very similar.... in fact..... arghh!!! Run for cover....

Re: Does anyone know how to renew Online Entertainment?

Ok, for all you future searchers out there.... here is how it works. A few weeks before expiry you get the messages mentioned above. When you sign up in the store (which I could only do from my tablet, not from the car) you pay your money, and it says thank you very much and does nothing.... but wha...

Re: Goodyear F1 Assy3 sidewalls

I'd recomend ps4. Hated mpss nvh, so got Asym3 for a quieter more refined ride, but destroyed these on (half a) trackday. Now on mps4 and very happy, but never taken them to the track - lesson learned.

I would't go to runflats... what is your thinking there if you liked mpss?

Looking for more bass on HK system

Hi all, have searched but not found what I am looking for (inability to use HK as a key word while searching doesn't help. I have the HK system with front centre delete. And am largely happy. What I miss is bass extension,. So... If I swap the subs for focal, will this actually achieve what I want? M...
