Chaps,

As the title suggests.....can anyone recommend a really good wheel brush?

Tried a few that have all had their positives and negatives but the one im currently using is needing replaced.

Cheers

Re: Hesitation/Jerk under light acceleration

I did. Its already had the EGR enhancement. I hope they would change it again due to the issues but im just thinking about moving forward. It strikes me to be a valve purely designed to reduce emissions which badly affects performance. I thought the symptoms had disappeared but it came back with a v...

Re: Hesitation/Jerk under light acceleration

Defo Egr. There have been many cars brought into my dealership recently, including mine. Not sure what's happening but software was updated too, pushing out my codings. It's part of a "quality enhancement" to replace the EGRs, the ones leaving the factory had a known issue apparently. This will als...

Have you had the "so called" EGR enhancement??
Nope, it’s not been into the garage since I got it from new
How have u been getting on? Any improvement/worsening?

I asked about the enhancement as it may have been related if u had but the fact that you havent means its unlikely.

Re: Hesitation/Jerk under light acceleration

Could be an EGR issue but if you have been doing short journeys more likely the DPF needs a proper regen. Give it a dose of Millers and a good run at above 2500rpm to clear things out. Come to think of it, my commute has changed over the last few weeks. I have been doing relatively short journeys, ...

Hesitation/Jerk under light acceleration

Chaps, Looking for a bit of advice. 2016 BMW 120d with 15k on the clock Recently it has developed what I can only describe as a hesitation or jerk when applying the accelerator lightly whilst moving and at relatively low revs. So far it has only manifested itself in gears 5 to 8 and below 2000rpm. I...

Re: Another Hesitation Thread - F21 65 Plate 120d Msport

Hi I've had this car since new but I only clock up really low mileage (I'm currently around 3500miles!) I detect very slight hesitation around 1700-2200 RPM intermittently under low acceleration which is more noticeable in 2rd and 3rd gears and sometimes this presents itself as a distinct 'stutter'...

Re: Drivetrain error message

I had the quality enhancement of the EGR valve recently and since then, ive had the described acceleration hesitation upon applying throttle at low revs in gears 6 and 7. Admittedly, it isnt all the time and very sporadic. Before the so called quality enhancement, I had no issues 😡 Think ill need to...

He's not seriously recommending amping factory speakers is he?!
Thats what he said. Sounded very convincing. He said that the speakers already there can be improved massively with an amp and that he had done that very work for Douglas Park BMW. 🤔

Speaker Upgrade

Chaps, Looking to upgrade the sound system. Went to Beaver Car Audio in Glasgow - First of all, they stated that the door speakers and under seat subs are all decent units. They recommended having Alpine tweeters fitted along with an Alpine 4 channel amplifier. In his words it would give much greate...

Marco,

Forged wheels are clearly the way to go, as you know, but by god they're expensive!!!!

Mine are 18x8" ET40 square, no stagger.
Excuse my ignorance but am I right in saying that, in short, you have kept the size of the OEM rears and ditched the slighly slimmer front? I assume they fit jst fine?

Re: Buckled Wheels!!!

Good plan, make sure they're forged (and not cast). Sometimes also known as Flow Formed, Roll Forged, etc. Oz call them 'HLT' just to confuse matters. MAK Luft-FF make some nice Flow Forged rims in 18x8" ET43 for example: https://www.performancealloys.com/wheel-details.aspx?ID=8266 Or how about som...
