2008 E87 m-sport gloss black kidney grills for sale?

Hi everyone, I was wondering if any of you have a link to a decent set of gloss black kidney grills for my BMW e87 M-sport (2008 lci). I would ideally want to purchase this before the end of the month so any places that can deliver by then would be great :) Decent price please! If any of you are sel...

Re: E87 Serious judder and DSC light

Thanks guys for all the advice!! After reading that post by marco, I gave replacing the 2 rear reluctor rings and ABS sensors a shot. That solved the issue :)

Re: E87 Serious judder and DSC light

The control unit was replaced. And the unit did not need coding as it was the same part number. Could it be that since the control unit did not work all along, that the reluctor rings were broken but were not picked up by the vehicle since the DTC off button did not work at the time. Now that the DS...

Re: E87 Serious judder and DSC light

Im no mechanic so its not as straightforward as me checking my rings for me. Would have to take the car to the mechanic.

Re: E87 Serious judder and DSC light

Thank you that was very informative. So I would need to buy 2 reluctor rings and 2 ABS sensors for the rear?

Re: E87 Serious judder and DSC light

I have to say it is defo not the fuel filter. I drove with the judder but then tried pressing the DTC button. That solved the issue and it drove no problem at all. However, the issue comes back when the DTC button is not pressed after a start.

Does that indicate perhaps an ABS sensor?

Re: E87 Serious judder and DSC light

It was behaving itself with the old DSC. The new one is what caused it. My question is, how can I solve the issue while keeping the DSC unit I fitted?

E87 Serious judder and DSC light

Here's a breakdown of the issue. Firstly I own a BMW 116i 2008 M-sport. I just had its DSC unit changed. I replaced my faulty DSC unit with a used one I brought online. Upon fitting it, the old issue of the yellow handbrake and DSC light continuously being on when the car was turned on went away. Ev...

Re: The dreaded DSC module (E87)

A mechanic suggested it could be the fuel filter, but I very much doubt that is the case since this issue was never there before the used DSC unit was put in

Re: The dreaded DSC module (E87)

Okay so new issue. The used DSC unit was fitted into the car today. Everything was reactivated and the lights disappeared. HOWEVER, whenever I now change gears, the car judders (not sure if some wheels are locking) so it feels like the car is jumping at times. On top of that, at every gear change th...

Re: The dreaded DSC module (E87)

This is the part I ordered. I take it this is just the control box or is this the entire unit?

P.S. the whole thing not just the cylindrical bit

Re: The dreaded DSC module (E87)

No coding requied. :) It either works, or it doesn't. Just a sensor. Are you sure? You can swap the control box over between your current unit and the new one, that will remove the need for coding but plugging the new unit in straight out the box it will need coding. Usually, is it the control box ...

There's a chance it won't work? or are you referring to the fact that the new part going in is used?

The dreaded DSC module (E87)

Yep it happened. The dreaded ABS pump module control unit (DSC) fault has come up on my 1 series (E87 2008 116i M-sport). It started with a yellow handbrake and yellow DSC light consistently showing up on my dashboard whenever the car was started. I took it for diagnostics, and error code 5e30 showe...
