Re: M135i surround cameras

NP01 can you find the link for this video. I seem to be unable to find it. This is the manufacturer of the plug and play units, may be worth contacting them to make sure they have one for the f21 they have f30 ones. https://www.bimmer-tech.net/bmw-rear-view-cameras/ They do all kinds of retrofits f...

Re: Bmw m140i Police car Yorkshire

Have to say I do find it a bit of an odd choice, they are just too reliant on decent road/weather conditions. Anything other than snuff dry roads and any scroat with a remotely fast awd vag is long gone That’s not true though, these cars handle fine in wet conditions, can be a bit twitchy in standi...

Re: ZF Gearbox - foot on brake when stopped?

Also you’ve got to take into account, many people don’t have time to put car in neutral and apply the handbrake, that would lose them valuable time looking at their phones

Cheers NP01. Ill get a look. I dont see how it will be hard its the coding what will be a biatch.
The system they use uses an interface which hides behind the dash, comes with factory plugs which you put factory loom in then interface plugs into idrive system, should need no coding whatsoever

Get yourself an auto and slam some winter tyres on, that seems to be the general consensus on this forum

Re: 240 vs 996 Turbo

Nearly 20 years isn't so short. I can't see hot hatches being current 911 turbo S fast in the next 20 years. With electric cars on the horizon don't be so sure! I can absolutely see Teslas and the like with 0-60-in-2-sec performance in the hands of distracted numpties, before autonomous vehic...

Re: Reliability

Does it ever worry anyone that BMW always seem to be at the bottom of this list? Stumbled across this. Taken the shine off my new M140i purchase, although Toyota did use the B58 in their Supra so surely can’t be that bad. https://www.jdpower.com/business/press-releases/2018-uk-vehicle-dependability...

Re: B58 S1000

Says it’s rated for 1000hp,you’d probably have to spend a hell of a lot more for all the upgraded bolt ons, plus find a way of keeping the car on the road

Re: New Brake Pads

I think the advice about doing x amount of stops over a certain amount of time at a certain speed is the correct way to bed them in, the other way of driving carefully for a couple of hundred miles is for a normal joe as you probably couldn’t expect people to follow the correct method and there’s no...

I hate to even suggest this, and some of the younger generation probably won’t of heard of them, but could it be Gremlins, I remember they caused a whole heap of trouble one Christmas.
