Re: M140i Exhaust Help

Search PCW he modifies exhausts and he has done PPF cars without issue. I think hes based Milton Keynes area. Huge improvement over standard for probably less than half what you've mentioned above. BCS make a centre pipe without resonators. I think the PPF one is in development at the moment. Send t...

Re: Litchfield motors stage 1 remap group buy B58 & N55

Reading through I must agree it appears misleading.
Looking at Litchfield website the £600 remap price suggests it's completed on the rollers (not an off the shelf map) which this is.
£450 for a flash I don't think is a good deal and when you add the cost of the dnyo runs its hardly a good deal. Imo

Re: H&R 35mm lowering springs

H&R are generally 25/25 aren’t they?
I’ve fitted them and they give a much improved look. Forget the Eibach as the drop is negligible but reports suggest they improve handling whereas the H&R are more cosmetic.

Re: 15mm spacers front and rear

Yeh 15 front and rear no issues purely for cosmetic reasons. I’ve fitted them on previous R32, 535d, S3 and my M135. Give a much better stance.
I’ve never gone for premium brands (premium prices) and never had an issue.

Re: M140 almost stolen

Auto watch ghost is all well and good for a car like a Sierra Cosworth or similar rare and sentimental car but my main priority is prevention. The trauma of a burglary is a huge issue so most of my effort goes into deterents. If they do get their hands on the keys, they’ve gone to great effort so th...

Re: M140 almost stolen

While all this theft/burglary for cars is all very depressing I find it astonishing the amount of car owners and particularly ‘performance’ car owners that seem oblivious to what’s going on out there. This has been going on for 10+ years but people aren’t aware (or either they don’t think it will ha...

Re: Service history on dash screen

Rear brake pads changed with new sensor.
Front pads are fine so I shorted the sensor and reset the warnings etc. All sorted.

Re: Service history on dash screen

No, you can't undo that yourself, the brake wear system expects 'wear events' to happen in the correct order. You might be able to short the system out, or failing that, a new wear sensor. Short the system out....mmm I would try if I knew how. Rear pads require a change so I've got replacements and...

Re: Service history on dash screen

Looks like I’ve dropped a bollock. Toggling through the menus attempting to view service records this morning, I’ve inadvertently pressed things that I shouldn’t have. The wife went to work in the car and has reported back that there is a Red warning (handbrake sign) light. Since she got home I’ve c...

Re: Service history on dash screen

Really.
I bought the car 5 years ago and I was convinced the dealer showed me it on the dash.
Thanks anyway
