Re: M140i/M135i Quaife LSD Group buy

I had the same thoughts as what Marco mentioned. I didn’t want a diff with more milage than my car. However when I mentioned this to James he did offer the option if the use of a car Birds offered out to their customers whilst the car was having the work done. I took the option of having my diff hav...

Re: Yet ANOTHER M4 LCAs thread!

I’ve actually dig through my history of the car and pulled out the most “recent” geo. I remember having the camber bought closer to -1.6. I can only think I had the added extra rear camber due to the 15mm spacers and being worried about them catching the rear arches. Needless to say I remember the c...

Re: Yet ANOTHER M4 LCAs thread!

Worth mentioning that the car (my case a 235i) was setup to factory settings with toe and rear camber. "Factory settings" is mechanic-speak for "within spec", which in turn is mechanic-speak for "I couldn't be arsed getting it exactly how it should be. It is within tolerance and I'm going to leave ...

Re: Yet ANOTHER M4 LCAs thread!

Ive definitely found after a few thousand miles with the arms you have to pay attention to driving on motorways or long stretches of straight roads. Due to small inputs into the wheel can make the car feel like its wandering from side to side. Literally the only negative with them. Would i want the...

Yet ANOTHER M4 LCAs thread!

Can someone please post where i can buy the lemforder arms, tension struts from and part numbers please? Is that all i will need to fit them? Thanks As said above Autodoc. I believe I purchased all four arms (tension struts and LCAs) for roughly £250 off there including delivery. Ive definitely fou...

Also I am only fitting LCA not TS so do I even need these washers?
For the LCA i fitted a pair of the 2mm thick 12mm ID 30mm OD

Re: M4 LCA/TS Spacers/Washers

Just jumping on the back of this thread as fitting M4 LCAs when they arrive but I didn’t realise I may need some washers! What spec do I need to order from the eBay seller? See post 5 in the M-lite sticky https://www.babybmw.net/viewtopic.php?f=74&t=89536&p=1161125#p1160972 I also ordered a pair of...

Re: M4 LCA's

Partly cost (brace and cheapo dampers), partly to build in lots of safe/nasty understeer, partly so they feel crap in comparison to M Cars. Imagine if they built £25k parts-bin cars that were better than M3's? Why are 911's better than Caymans, because they're intentionally engineered that way. [em...

Re: M140i - does lowering the car naturally give enough camber?

Sorry, think I’m about to drag the thread back a bit. So, if I wanted to improve my steering feel and make it a bit sharper, it seems that LCA are a good answer. Would spacers on the front achieve the same outcome by widening the track? Conscious I wouldn’t get the increased camber but for road use...

Re: M140i - does lowering the car naturally give enough camber?

From looking it seems that before, there car was slightly lower at the back anyway so it looks fine . If it is any lower at the front now it’s only a bit and doesn’t look bad. Thanks for sharing. I was worried it may look stupid low at the front and high at back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk ...

Re: M140i - does lowering the car naturally give enough camber?

That’s valuable information thanks. Any report in the steering feel and overall impression of the M4 parts. I.e are they worth it? To be honest, I didn’t get the wow that has been reported by others. Felt pretty normal. But on track the car tracks very nicely under braking, before the car was skitt...
