Re: Find my iPhone app disappeared...

Swipe down from the top of the main screen and type in "find" - it'll show you the app. Just open it from there As I said, I’ve tried these things, it’s really weird. Using the search it only comes up with the Wikipedia page for find my iPhone 😂.. the app icon is nowhere to be found on my phone. Wh...

Re: Find my iPhone app disappeared...

It only gives me the option to turn it on or off under iCloud settings. It’s the actual app on my phone that’s gone?

Find my iPhone app disappeared...

So, I can’t seem to find the “find my iPhone” app on my phone since the latest update.
I can go to the App Store, find it there and it says I can open it, but it’s actually missing from my device as an app. Even in the spotlight search it doesn’t come up... any ideas welcome

Re: Home Security - burglar alarms

I would recommend the Blink camera system. Batteries last for 2 years. Completely wireless. Image quality is great in daylight and as acceptable as most at night. Hook up with a security light though and you will be fine. All recordings are uploaded to the cloud, so even if they steal/destroy your c...

Re: Car Insurance... points..

I didn’t think points made that much difference... unless it’s because it’s the 3rd offence in their eyes - I’m shocked at the prices. Just insured the M2 for the year £410 with the Mrs as a named driver. That was with my accident declared (single carriage due to cones on a dual carriage way and a ...

Just make sure it isn't an "all sections" excess (or if it is you understand the implications). Some "specialist" insurance companies do this with a conviction record they don't like.
Not sure what you mean? What’s an all sections excess?

Re: Car Insurance... points..

Yesterday I spent quite a bit of time on the phone to so called "specialist" insurers that couldnt get within £400 of my renewal. Tried Chris Knott but was on hold for over 30 mins so gave up. Rang Sky insurance, fantastic service. All done in less than 20 mins. Great price. Great service.

Re: Accident advice

I would insist your insurance company send out someone to assess the work, then agree to send it to a different place to get rectified if it really is that bad. How may times should it need to go back? Never IMO, it should be done right first time. If the bodyshop do not have the right skills or res...

Re: My golf GTi...

Well I still have it.. As others have alluded to, its just very hard to find a replacement! I have now covered 26k miles in 10 months of ownership. Yes a diesel would cost me less (but not that much). I am averaging 44-49mpg now on the motorway, but early 30's in general driving. But it is such a go...

Re: Car Insurance... points..

Thanks, I will give them a call.

Interestingly, I went online and got a quote from Aviva for £1519 by inputting all the details in manually about my driving history. This dropped to £829 when I put in my driving licence number.....

Car Insurance... points..

Been a while since I posted, but, I have my insurance renewal coming up and was wandering about peoples experiences on who are good insurers for those with points on their licence. I have my Golf GTi and 9 years plus NCB. Sadly, I also have 9 points due to 3 SP30's. One in 2016 and two this year. Pr...
