Re: 140i insurance up over 50% this year!

May give LV a try, its annoying spending half an hour trying to get a quote to come away no better off. LV works well for me. Their quote is the cheapest for me. The LSD didn't affect the premium while aftermarket dampers and springs only added £60(10% of the premium). https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn....

Re: 140i insurance up over 50% this year!

Just ran a quote and its jumped over 50% for me, going from £480 to £1045. The irony is this is the first year where I didn’t have to put down the claim for a write off as it was finally over 5 years ago so I was looking forward to the price going down Try bmw insurance, you may be surprised Sent f...

Re: 140i insurance up over 50% this year!

I paid £590 for mine last year with Quote Me Happy, the renewal came in today at £923!!!!! Comparison websites weren’t much better either. Speaking with Quote me happy and they would not revise their figure I tried BMW insurance and they came in at £423 for exactly the same policy (excess was £50 le...

Re: How many miles should a Factory Order car be on?

Boston, Lincolnshire. Salesman was Adam. I was told by dealer my car would arrive on a transport lorry. As it happened, it was driven from the port to the dealer & I collected it with about 100 miles on the clock. For me, I was not to bothered, but typical bull from the salesman. Yes, I could have ...

Re: Not bad for a courtesy car

I prefer the dials on the 140i. A classic dashboard works for me. I’ve used the new Audi virtual cockpit and there’s too much going on leading to distraction. I’ve not seen the new style from bmw in action so to speak, only in a stationary vehicle and I’m not a massive fan. Sent from my iPhone using...

Re: Fitting auto shifter

It does look good... but not attached to the car! It’s the wrong part. I realised after taking it to bits!

Fitting auto shifter

Hi all.

I’ve had a search but can’t find the how to guide for changing the auto shifter from the standard silver to the carbon one?

Has anyone got a step by step guide or any ideas?
