Angway, my question still stands, how do I find out what software version I have been updated to?

Re: F20 Carpet wet - advice on lifting please

How about a wet & dry vacuum cleaner or carpet cleaner to suck out the water using an upholstery attachment?

You could try the handbrake maintenance procedure to help bed the new shoes in.

Re: Replacing rear parcel shelf supports

I guess the info should be somewhere in the newTIS online workshop manuals but may take some digging to find it.

Re: Bonnet twisted and won't open

A good time to lube the latch mechanism anyway as they have a habit of sticking without the assistance of errant screwdrivers.

You can check your cars factory spec using one of the online VIN decoders viewtopic.php?f=17&t=55328

I’ve had a go in a manual 140 and wished I’d gone manual in mine. You feel so much more in control. I drive exclusively with DSC off.

Re: Engine oil recommendation

Lower MPG is pretty normal I think this kind of year because of the colder weather.

Re: yellow oil light but say at max?

By any chance does your car have a proper physical dipstick ? Some cars do as well as the electronic dashboard one.

What car is it ? model/age/engine ?

Is it wise to disconnect the IBS ? I know its actions seem drastic but it is just trying to ensure the battery has enough power to start the car. Unless the IBS is faulty.

Re: E88 heater blower speed not working correctly after replacement

I believe most batteries have some sort of manufacturing date marked on one of the poles. If so that should confirm if it's original or not. If it is original then at 9 years old it's likely nearing the end of its life.

Re: E88 heater blower speed not working correctly after replacement

How old is the car and has the battery ever been changed ?
Any other signs of failing battery? Auto stop/start work, rear window demister work, can listen to stereo with engine off and no low battery warning or date/time resetting ?
