Re: 130i pre-lci and lci

High mileage cars well maintained are better than low mileage ones that have been abused or under serviced. BUT selling anything with over a 100k on it is very hard work. It can be but I think attitudes are changing on that front, I've had 120k cars that have sold ok, my brothers 150k 5 series sold...

Re: 130i pre-lci and lci

I'd like sub 100k ideally just for future sell on fee few years down line when id like to upgrade to an M135i and if I'd say for eg get an 130i with 120k on clock and put 40k on it I don't think I'd get a lot of interest in 160k car if you see my sort of point True but a car gets to a point where i...

Re: 130i pre-lci and lci

LCI interiors are meant to be better quality

My 2008 130i LE is for sale but it's slightly over your budget and a little up mileage wise.

With these engines it's all about the history, a slightly high mileage car may have had many of the niggles sorted that an 80k still has to come.

Re: New to Forum - looking to buy a 120d M Sport

I have a 2012 318d as a works car, it has the N47 engine, it arrived with 3 miles on the clock and it'll have 100k by the end of the week, it's averaged 50.3mpg over that time period and has only ever had tyres, brakes and the standard service routine. It's never missed a beat, i expect I'll do anot...

Re: Anyone selling coupe or convertible

Personally I wouldn't worry to much about mileage on these cars as long as they have a decent history, a motorway mileage car is likely to have less wear and tear. Just do the right checks on viewings. I had a MK2 TT V6 Quattro before the 130i it was truly the dullest car I've ever owned, you'll fin...

Re: Possible exchange.

Contact Opie Oils they'll point you in the right direction oil wise.

The diff and gear box are sold as "sealed for life" but both have the required drain and fill plugs, changing the diff oil won't cost a lot and may make a difference depending on the condition of the oil in your diff.

Re: Engaging gear

Had this issue on my Z4 Coupe, turned out to be the clutch slave that was the problem, not overly expensive to sort out

Way to much, shouldn't take more than 45mins each side, not too difficult to do yourself if you've got the tools.

Re: DGT - 130i LE -

I painted the interior trims, I used to do bumpers etc but a local place only charges me £150 for a bumper so it's not worth the faf/time/hassle of doing it myself plus if the paints not right I just take it back and they sort it out. Really should update this thread, it's had a lot of stuff done re...
