What are the recommended toe settings for the M140i?

Given that it's rear wheel drive, should the front wheels be set with some toe in?
Correct

I’d suggest toe-in F&R as follows

F 0 to 0.05
R 0.05 to 0.1

One thing I never think in my OG M2 (UK road use only) is - I wish I had more power.
Stage 1 remap will get your OGM2 north of std M2C power/torque levels

Re: Sam’s new 140se

Is that something that is easy enough to do? Yes - jury rig solution to enable you to drive the car to get alignment done as follows:- 1. do each side at time; 2. jack the front up just enough so as wheel is just off the ground & secure; 3. using a circa 2 foot long straight edge [or laser light/ta...

Re: M2 to M2 Comp would you?

I had the chance to try the M2C recently on the track and I tracked my pre-LCI manual M2 a few days later. I was pleasantly surprised that I preferred my own car. I did like the more visceral, barky note of the Comp but really the N55 is so sweet as it winds out it wouldn't be a deal-maker. I also ...

Re: M2 to M2 Comp would you?

Probably not as I've thrown some cash at my pre-LCI's chassis and really like the way if gets down the road - doubt M2C would come close unless of course it had the same hardware fitted ie throwing more cash at it after a 15-20k hit to swap cars. Also, swollen nappy zorst and ho hum sounds that come...

Re: Sam’s new 140se

the next snag was that after installing the m4 lcas the cars front wheel were toed in so heavily that the car could not be driven, so i had to use works truck to move it to another workshop that could adjust the front toe for me, FYI getting a motech springed m140 with m4 lca's and a lightweight fr...

Re: i-step upgraded

Something else I also mentioned after a I-step upgrade is that the car goes to 7200 rpm before it's shifting to the next gear in automatic. Yup - can confirm mine goes 7.2k rpm before changing up if you keep yr foot all the way in it. Seems to have added urgency getting to red line and sounds bette...

Re: M140i Space Saver

Hello, Does anyone know of part number for a spacer saver wheel to suit the m140i. Re: 18” 405m on an f22 m235i?

Also to add I *think* they are none staggered and they are 8” wheels with 34 offset, 225/50/18 tyres all round. Will they fit the m235? 18" x 8" et 34mm ex F3x 3 series fit just fine - here's a BB thread a started awhile back showing my M135i with OEM style 397's [18" x 8" et 34mm all round with 22...

Re: i-step upgraded

Update ePAS - comfort mode - seems like it has a tad more feel - no bad thing in my book. Sport modes - no discernible difference Throttle/DCT - step off from standstill in comfort is much better than it was - comfort used to feel a little too much like eco-pro in my m135i - so hardly ever used it -...
