Re: The BEST B58 exhaust?

none of the others make a 3.5" system, they're all stock 3". I can look into the cost of titanium and go from there. Thanks for the suggestion Well actually the stock diameter is 80mm, so technically 3.15” but yes, I see your point. Price wise, as you know titanium tube is more expensive and needs ...

The BEST B58 exhaust?

Shame you didn’t make it in titanium. That would give it a USP. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Could also out price a lot of people? Yes, but as I see it, you are one of many, many stainless steel options, Remus, Akrapovic, BCS, M performance, Milltek, scorpion, etc. If it were titanium, you’d b...

Re: How long does it take to fix the oil filter housing??

Also known as an intercooler [emoji38] Without wishing to come across as pedantic an intercooler is an air to air or air to liquid cooler, as opposed to the liquid to liquid heat exchanger. Apologies I didn’t read your post properly. But according to the WIS you need to remove the inlet plenum / in...

M1/240i a proper M car?

Depends which M car you are talking about. There are half assed M cars like the OG M2. Doesn’t take many mods to bring an m lite to that level. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Half arsed your opinion fair enough but not the vast majority or journalists or owners. You being neither so I know whos...

Re: Technical explanation for my cars behaviour? (PPF BANGS)

The pops you talk of are artificially created through the mapping of the car. Expanding this technically, the injectors are fired long after TDC, so the still burning fuel gets dumped into the exhaust manifold instead of burning inside the combustion chamber as it normally would. This creates the no...

Re: Garage muck up?

Suspiciously, 1200rpm is around the revs my car goes to when doing an oil level check. Yours isn’t locked into oil level sense mode by any chance? No idea how that would even happen.

Re: Bilstein B14 vs B6 good watch

Then there is the consensus that the progressive springs actually reduce body roll rather than the linear springs that theoretically don’t. I can’t remember exactly why. Something to do with if you go around a right hand corner, the left spring will compress but the right of the car will not lift u...

Re: Bilstein B14 vs B6 good watch

Thanks for the reply. So basically what your saying is the spring rate is continuous regardless of preloading if the spring. It will always be 200lb per every inch of compression. So what I can’t understand is. If wanting to upgrade the stock suspension to one that’s better quality and more complia...

Re: Bilstein B14 vs B6 good watch

So from what he is saying it looks to me that the ride height of the b14 at its highest setting would be the same as a b8 damper.? Not seen any confirmation of this elsewhere. It looks like that would be the case in the body part, but of course the B14 comes with its own springs, which would change...
