Re: No Air con and 2 coolant tank confusion

Don’t drive it.

You’ll be running the electric pump dry, which will destroy it.

Re: M140i stage 1 Evolve Automotive

Your trace looks very similar to my Stage 1 BM3 tune. So you have a decent safe power level map.

Re: M140i stage 1 Evolveautomotive

The pull it has in sport is definitely noticeable, I just expected more I guess considering the stock run was 362hp. But who knows [emoji2375] Im going to fill up with v power and take for a second opinion. My car is 18 so don’t know if that’s pre OPF... I had a back box delete and mod by EMP A whi...

Re: M140i stage 1 Evolveautomotive

Makes me glad I went the BM3 route. 421hp on stage 1 with Tesco 99. £42 more and I get to flash stage 2 for an additional 15-20hp. This is one of the problem with tuners. I’ve gone to many dyno days where punters have shown up keen to see what the latest tune was putting out, often to find out it pr...

F21 Brake pad replacement and jacking questions

For Brembo brakes... Use a proper pin punch. If tight, an Allen key won’t be easy to use. I give the whole caliper a spray down with brake cleaner. Be careful, the paint flakes off easily if you hit the calipers. You’ll need to press the pistons back into the calipers to allow the thicker new pads i...

Re: Sometimes feels like it’s lacking power

The size of the rear tyres did surprise me to be honest. Both my previous 325 and 330 had 255 rears with less power and considerably less torque. May be a slightly daft question, will the stock wheels take a slightly wider tyre? No, 245 is maximum width tyre for an 8” rim. Sent from my iPhone using...

Re: seat cover replaced under warranty, pics inside

I have booked it back into them to have a look, but from reading the above post, do you think it is worth it, if they bed in so to speak? Good luck. No doubt they’ll wheel out their leather expert......alternatively they will say “they are all like that, sir!” Arm yourself with a hairdryer and look...

Re: seat cover replaced under warranty, pics inside

Needs a towel and a steam iron to sort it out.

New covers won’t fit like a glove, they eventually shrink to the shape. The above is what a leather expert will use to speed up the process.

Re: M140i Santa pod

I’m thinking a wider set of rear wheels with R888Rs on the back should help [emoji106] In my experience, not really. The new Santa Pod surface is pretty grippy. If he has more power than you he will walk away. Even if you get a better start (with faster RT), he will catch and pass you. Just downloa...

I remapped mine in the parking lot after the service. The joys of BM3 [emoji16]

Re: M140 remap questions

The fuel statement my error as based on an incorrect assumption so apologies for that. I honestly don't think there is anything between them in terms of functionality. BM3 does require a bulkier wifi option but still secreted in the arm rest storage so again not a show stopper. I have been extremel...

Re: Rear Diff - Leaking

Well they think it could be normal “weeping” and have checked the diff oil level and given it a clean. If it does it again it needs new seals. Well in 6 weeks it becomes their problem anyway! :) It’s not ‘normal weeping’, the drive shaft seal has failed. They should fix it. It will probably be fine...
