Re: time for a new car...

Personally, I’d be careful about that early 2.0 unit. There are tons of engine failure cases on those. Yes it mainly affected the 328 version of the engine, but they are pretty much identical, just different power specs.

Why not a 320d or 330d?

Re: Site ads??

Am I the only one, or are there an unusual number of ads on BabyBMW for MYA Breast Enlaregement? I have no idea why I’m being targetted, I’m not really their demographic - belly reduction might be more appropriate  You think you have a problem? I keep getting adverts for Anne Summers butt plu...

Disc shims were a different argument though but eventually covered.
Most likely because they sheared the nipple off. You break it, you fix it.

Re: Brake calliper nipples stuck...

Yep that’s true, they confirmed this to me also The more I think about this, the more I feel it should be covered under warranty. Is it them Weasling out of this saying it’s corrosion? Not a warranty issue IMO. Standard aluminium and steel corrosion. People have had good results heating the caliper...

“No sorry Mr. XYZ we won’t be providing a courtesy car”.....is this normal?

You guys do realise that screwing dealers for massive discounts on new cars and added costs like courtesy cars don’t work in any business model. Can’t have your cake and eat it.
Better get used to it [emoji4]

Re: Not another M140i MPG question

Sounding like I expected then really. I reckon my friends driving style which I would describe as steady as she goes would mean he would be at the top end of MPG in the M140i, he would be more than happy with 35 to 40 mpg as his current car only returns 30mpg and that's only a 1.8, 130bhp Mazda. So...

M240i silver insert removal/blank

If you search on the sponsor thread for Cotswold BMW you should find a post where these are asked for by a poster. I got the numbers and price from there. Re: B58 Oil Change dilemma

I personally think it’s the design. The filter is not easy to access and if not taken out carefully, it can break the end off. Be careful and you are fine.

Re: Airbag bypass for bucket seat.

I fitted Pole Positions to my E8X series car recently but I'm guessing it's all roughly similar for F series cars. I used Recaro airbag resistor kits for spoofing the side airbags in both seats. It's a universal kit I think, doesn't matter what seat brand you used. The instructions took a little bi...

Re: Airbag bypass for bucket seat.

Corbeau Clubsports, I will be using the seatbelt for a bit then looking to get harnesses. If I fit the emulator tho and nobody is in the seat will it fire all airbags regardless ? Yes it will. So take precautions if carrying young children up front. For a full solution, retrofit the occupancy senso...

Re: Airbag bypass for bucket seat.

You fit resistors into the underseat plug airbag circuit. This satisfies the electronics that they are there and connected. You will also want to fit a ‘triggered’ passenger seat occupancy sensor emulator, so the car knows to fire the seat belt pre-tensioner and dashboard/curtain airbags. I assume y...
