Quick question - do these boxes all run different software / maps depending on which car model you select on the website?

My friend has one on his 435d, cars going up for sale and he’s offered me the box For nothing - would this work on my 430d does anyone know?

I’ve had mine fitted a couple of weeks now and I’ve moved up the maps to map E now & I don’t feel any difference. I’m going to unplug it and take it for a spin, the difference should be night & day

I’ve just fitted mine today and left it on setting C. It’s smoother to drive and pulls like a train. It’s odd because I have a manual and driving at lower speeds the car is normally quite difficult to control without it wanting to kangaroo. This is not a problem now that the box has been fitted, I’m impressed

I’m guessing you have a 140? Mines a 135 & I know the gains on the 135 aren’t as good but I thought it would be a lot more noticeable. I’ve still yet to unplug it & test drive it without the box connected to see if I notice the change.

Danny, did you get sorted with this? The difference with and without the box should be huge. If it isn't something is most definitely not right.

For anyone thinking about a Bluespark - Highly recommended.

I had mine fitted a while ago and boy does the car fly!

I drove a M135i with a BS in setting E earlier this year and it was mega fast and pretty much on par with my Stock M140i at the time.

I very quickly bought a BS tuning box for mine.

Standard M140i

M140i standard - 220bhp/Tonne
M4 Standard - 262bhp/Tonne

even if you added a 40bhp increase to the M140i it puts it at 262bhp/tonne so exactly the same as an M4 but without all the LSD's and suspension of an M4.

The jag is also 265bhp/tonne standard so its not going to be pushing either of these out of the way is it......
Ive had first hand experience of this myself with a jb+ fitted and an m3 comp pack sat by the side of me, left a standard rs3 for dead and quite a large number of cars that should be quicker than it, most recently raced two bikes an r6 and a 600 fireblade with a video to prove that they were not passing me. So to answer what youre saying it is possible and surprises a lot of people how quick these cars can be....

Right, I'm looking to buy the BlueSpark in the next couple of weeks.

Is there anything I need to know/do, before I pull the trigger?

It's a 17 plate m140i. Thanks.

Beat me to it - I was going to say if a Fireblade couldn't pull away it wasn't racing ;)

I've pulled away from Audi RS5's on the motorway on my old FZ1 no problem.

The gap is definitely closer to bikes than it used to be though. Back in the 90's I had a ZZR 600 (modest by todays bikes) and not a car on the road came close to me, embarrassed a Testarossa that tried on it once :)

These days very affordable cars are coming closer though. 0-60 is no problem on a bike, even a 600, you'd have to massively tune a 140 to even get close, but once up to speed it'll be closer as the 600 wont have the torque needed.

On the bike I general don't mix it up with cars, too much at stake so usually let someone go if they're trying it on and then hoon it when I'm on my own.
