As for rental, only way to know for sure would be to see the rental companies details on the paperwork.

One more thing, demo cars tend to be relativley well optioned. That's the point, the dealer is trying to sell the car so will usually option it out to the full, or close to. Also, demo cars aren't too likely to have been abused. Only a small minority of people have the B*lls to rag a car with the dealer salesman sitting next to them.
I have access to mileage records and many come up with BVRLA entry which comes from https://www.bvrla.co.uk/ and this for sure would indicate it was rental.

It is an easy check and I will include some kind of note in Mileage Records it was a rental as not everyone knows The BVRLA is the trade body for the vehicle rental and leasing sector.

This is why the scraping car check tool Arnie is developing is so good. In theory if he scrapes BMWs AUC database he'll get the car's first pass through their network which may provide clues. Not sure if he's doing that yet either.
I looked at AUC and I could pull bmw data but for not I am concentrating on damaged cars as there seems to be more hidden information about those.

BMW site provides reg on every of their listing so it's not a problem to save those but there is no info there if it was ex demo or not ;/

Need direct access to DVLA to confirm first owner, once my site goes live it would be interested if DVLA agrees to provide at least name often first keeper to confirm if this was company or private person as this would give 100% accurate info then.

Looks most excellent nice one. Amazing engines.

My only observation (and it is a small one) is the chrome window trim. If you keep it standard it’ll look ok, but if you start doing cosmetic changes (black grilled etc) it probably won’t. Just my two penneth and apologise for potentially p!ssing on your parade.

Cheers Twenny!

My plans are this;

Oil and transmission oil service (done 14k since last bmw dealer service)
B4 rear shocks and koni bump stops (one of the rears misting was an advisory when it passes MOT in Oct)
Remap - p-torque/bwchiptuning
Rear darklines maybe!

Nice car!

Chrome on black looks great, that’s why BMW did it on the LE... it’s the best combo haha.

Good luck with the damper choice. Mine had misting on a rear at last mot and became empty not long after haha!
£850 later for new dampers all around fitted plus bump stops etc... eek!
130i LE - exhaust flap mod - ssk & bmwp & M3 gbox mounts - bmwp handbrake - bmwp steering surround - camber pin mod - cdv delete - koni SA & bmwp front bump & koni rear bump

Thanks I like the contrast of the chrome on black. No issues for me there !

Ouch that was a big bill.

I've priced the bilsteins up at £45 each and my local BMW Indy will fit each side for £40 and of course do the bump stops at the same time.

Unless money is really tight at those prices I'd get all four corners done. If the rears are on their way out the fronts wont be that far behind, assuming they haven't been changed at some point. After all it's not like they can magically have spent their life over different roads than the rears :D

Might as well get the benefit of "as new" damping for the whole suspension, you'll get more pleasure from the car like that.
