It's obviously an iffy bodge for a totally fecked engine, but if you want to try a thicker grade I'd go for something like an inexpensive Castrol Magnatec 5W-40 C3 Fully Synthetic.

So its still burning a lot of oil.. Around the same amount. Should I try something more thicker? Or a different brand?

Sounds like you should start investigating where it’s going.

Valve stem seals seem likely?

As above, any smoke on startup after it’s been sat for a while?

Yes theres a little bit if smoke coming out it but nothing major... One time I let the car sit for like 7 mins and I gave it nice hard rev and it gave a bad smell... So I guess valve stem seals? Those sound expensive

I think you can test it by rolling downhill, in gear with engine breaking for a few seconds, then accelerating. If you get blue smoke on acceleration then it’s more likely to be stem seals.
Someone will have to confirm this will work on your car though; I was told this method in the context of use on a different engine.
