Coupe Boot Contents

Post by dangerdred » Wed Aug 08, 2018 12:49 am

Hi, I'm after buying a 123D SE Coupe with no service history. The only thing in the boot is the battery, but it looks like there's maybe some stuff missing. Could someone with a coupe post a pic of what's under their boot floor so I can see what I'm missing?

I think boot contents will depend on age of car and its specification. It may or may not have a MULF for USB & bluetooth for instance.

Thanks for the replies. Car is an '08, photo of the boot below - I have a battery, security wheel bolt adapter, two lengths of rubber that I'm not sure if they're from the car at all, and a warning triangle on the underside of the bootlid. Should there be nothing else as regards tools, etc?

The locking wheel nut remover should be in a little grey pouch with a couple of basic tools but nothing I would be too bothered about. The rubber strips actually attach to the boot floor and you should see 4 holes where the ends will slot in. They are used to hold down boot contents.

Apart from that everything looks present and correct.

There shouldn't be anything bolted to the studs on the frame over the bluetooth module? Or a jack so I can use the locking wheel bolt adapter?

Yeah, there certainly should be something in that frame. BMW dont fit the frame unless they are fitting an accessory. Not sure what is supposed to be that side, maybe a MULF? Anything in the sticker beneath it?

No jack; the cars come with run flat tyres, so you just drive to a tyre place. The locking wheel nut remover is not for you, its for the tyre fitter :) . Its all extra weight saving to improve the economy (and lower costs).
E87 118d, stock, plus PDC control unit drain, Parrot, debadged, Mothercare baby shades (but no babies), and occassionally a good layer of wax. Instantly forgettable, and thats the way I like it.

you do get a metal frame even if the car has nothing in it. Mine is like that. I guess they do this in case of retrofir or fitting of the Alpine kit - doesn’t the amp go in one of the slots ?
