Blanking off 123d egr?

Post by ttassie15 » Fri Aug 10, 2018 8:49 pm

Hi all,
Been reading about the cp4.2 fuel upgrade, and I need to blank off the egr? It has been coded shut already. From which point do I actually blank it off?
Any help appreciated!

I have recently blanked off the EGR system on my 3.2 DID Shogun...the simplest and cheapest way to fix its EGR fault! I chose to blank it off at the exhaust manifold, so that the whole system is inert.

If your EGR system is already coded shut (permanently closed at the inlet manifold end), why do you have to blank it off as well?

Don't be tempted to remove any of the EGR system - if it's been removed or obviously tampered with, it's now an MOT fail.

Been speaking to Jason at BW Chiptune and he said it needs blanking off so the pipe under the manifold can be removed?

If it doesn’t need doing I’d rather not do it, less work, cost etc Image
